Can blm use scythe well?

Whats the max WS we can get as blm? I'm thinking of leveling up some drk since i have blm and smn maxed out already.

The highest WS BLM can get is Vorpal Scythe(150 skill). I believe BLM is E skill in scythe, so highest skill level you can get is 200(I think -_-) BLM really can't use scythe well at all, and there is only one that we can use that is level 47 so is pretty low D. In my opinion, it's a waste of money and time to skill it up if you want to use it. The only reason to buy one would be for looks, and even I haven't bought on yet =O

Theres a new Rare/ex scythe for BLM thats lvl70 or so.

But blm get an E skill, which caps at 200. The problem is though, that with an E skill and a super slow delay that makes skilling up scythe a PAIN. Since we dont get any real good wses its not really worth it imo. :/

With a E rating, and first scythe availible being in the mid 40's, this is not a weapon meant for exping. Never pull it out during exp party -_-;;



However, I did find a few use for it. After bringing the skill to a reasonable level (have it at 130 atm), it has a better damage then my ebony staff (skill 160). This gives me an alternative to spell damage when running lower level quests or LS events, and there is just no time to stop and sit for MP.

Once you get spirit taker you wont want to use a scythe.

I have a question about the scythe skill. If you sub drk does it increase your scythe cap? Is that how weapon skill caps work for jobs and other subs? That if the job you're subbing has a higher skill cap on a weapon than your current job, it raises it?

nope. you'll still be using the blm skill cap, but you will get access to some WS that are EX DRK (e.g. Shadow of Death).
