Tips for a new Blm..

Well, due to me waiting like 9 hours over the weekend for a party as a Galka DD, i have decided to start over, forget about my 41 days of playing time, and start again as a Taru Blm. I used my gil from my Galka to buy most spells that i cant get from quest's. As well as astril rings.

So, im curious, is their a post on BLm 101 for n00bs? for people like me? Im trying to gather some info on macros and spells and such, so i can be a good blm...> Also for equip. and such...

In nut shell:

Start off battle by enfeebling(don't cast Bio because Dia is better) to give tanks time to get hate. Cast nukes, but don't overdo it, give some time in between spells to allow tanks to be able to keep hate. Don't cast anything before Skillchain is called so you don't mess it up by pulling the monster away. Be very aware of your MP and learn how to conserve it. And have fun, it's a very fun job Good luck

Also don't froget to learn about the elmental resistance of the common exp monsters!!!! Trust me, it is what most "average blms" out there still can't do it right even at high levels

oh and buy a fungus hat, taru are hot as hell with them

1. Learn the Elemental Debuffs and how they function so you can apply it the best you can in a party.

2. Dont stinge on purchasing Spells, they are your extremely important.

3. Manage your Mp wisely and consider your partys chain capabilities before wasting all your mp on a chain 1.

4. Learn how to MB, and always do it.

5. Learn elemental resistance and weaknesses of every monster type you'll be facing.

6. Manage your hate well, and do not overnuke without very good reason (finishing Chain 5 and tank knows you will be overnuking)

7. Do not melee.

8. Focus on Mp, Int and Elemental Magic (and later Magic atk bonus)

9. See those Elemental staffs? Buy them.
