What is your highest MB?

Best I did was at level 74 with Errant great with Thundaga III in double lightning weather. I burst 1608 damage on a Aura Statue.

Since then I've gotten Igqira gear and I'm level 75 with maxed elemental skill, and the best I can do with +40INT and +13 Magic Attack Bonus is 1550. That's very reliable though. Almost all my bursts with Thundaga III are 1550 on he nose.

One thing to note, is that Thunder IV only bursts for roughly 1290~ damage where Thundaga III does 1550. That's a pretty big difference.

My static party has two BLMs and the other guy (Hume) is usually about 10-50 damage lower than me. He did however make a burst for over 2200 on Sewer Soup at one time with Blizzard IV. So yeah, that guy takes extra damage from Magic I'm thinking.

@lvl 70 i got off a 1832 firaga 3 mb on sewer syrup with no fire staff...very, very interested to see what i could do now on him...


other than that, 1611 or something like that on a mage skele in the tomb...(thunderga 3 + weskit + demon helm + thunder staff + zenith mitts and feet)...mb with this gear is consistently hovering around 1600 on the same mobs so it wasn't too surprising but i'd like to experiment with other combos...

finally hit 70, my firaga III mbs are now consistently in the high 1200s and low 1300s. yay. finally got that 4th magic attack bonus, kicking up my blizzard III to just under 600 damage to most xp mobs

I dont know why im posting here, since....most all of you are 60-70+, and bursting for twice as much as me, but what the hell =)

Highest burst= 954 With Freeze on a Chamber Beetle in Garlaige Citadel, heh, pathetic compared to all these others, but since i out damage the taru in the party next to me, im happy =),

where go you go hunt where you can successfully cast a -ga spell without it hitting other nearby mobs? i been wondering this since i see alot of BLMs cast -ga spells to MB

later on, you exp off of many mobs that are aggressive. when this happens, your camps will generally be in clear areas where there are no mobs around. there are a few exceptions (namely boyahda...) where -ga MBs are dangerous. otherwise, its usually safe to -ga MB except when you get an add and it gets slept.

yea i could understand Boyada being a no -ga spell area - - i mistargeted and dispeled a mandragora type mob and got my ass handed to me.

ok, so i beat my record for exp pt mb last weekend...managed an 1825 thunderga 3 burst on an aura statue in the palace...it was thundersday and i used the folloing gear: igqira weskit, demon helm, jupiter's staff, errant slops, zenith mitts, zenith pumps...i wanna try out the republican circlet the next time windy owns sky, and also af2 pants would be so so so nice for this...maybe someday...^^

Well... here's my attempt on Sewer Syrup, was fun to get the damage(When I normally MB Firaga III for 1.2k-ish), was not fun when it killed me ><



SC was Hexa Strike > Dragon Kick = Light > Firaga III
