Lvl 40-50 Gear?

Hey all, im just wondering, (there are probably a lot of other posts like this…so meh, sorry ;; ) But hows my gear at lvl 43? Also, anything that I really need to get before I hit 50? Here it is:

Solid Wand
Faerie Shield
Morion Talthum
Electrum Hairpin
Goshenite (sp? >.<) Ring
Electrum Ring
Red Cape (trying to get my friend to craft me a Red Cape +1)
Black Earring X2…. One of these will turn into a Morion Earring, and the other a Moldavite earring soon enough I hope :D
Mercenaries Captains Belt
RSE body (Magna Jerkin)
Magna Gloves
Magna…boots? (RSE feet, heh)
RSE legs

So should I shoot for better gear? I have all my spells, with the exception of Poison II, and im gonna buy Sleep II after I finish farming today ;;

My MP is 485 I think, not sure about my INT, I’ll check later, Any suggestions/comments/help would be appreciated =)

Everything looks fine to me.

My only suggestion would be to ditch the goshenite for the eremite (why spend more on the goshenite...it does nothing more than the eremite...), and also buy 2 electrum rings to use any time you have full mp. Also, look into a combat caster cloak....although you may not want to give up your hairpin.

Yeah, i just have the goshenite cause my friend was lvling BLM and quit the job, so he gave the ring to me since he didnt need it anymore heh. I'd go after the Combat Casters Cloak..., but is it worth it/practicle to give up the MP, then get a Tacticle Magcians Coat at 50 anyways? And i'll see about getting another Electrum Ring =)

Thank ye Atrapos, heh, i thought i was gimped on my gear....or something =) ......now i just have to live with the fact that i'll be stuck with those god aweful RSE legs until AF >.>

nah, don't ever feel gimped for using RSE...unless of course, you're a taru mage that uses RSE, or a galkan warrior that uses RSE, or something silly like that. Your RSE is designed to help you be a mage...and to be honest, it's damn good gear. If I could wear it, I would

Anyways, the suggestion with the goshenite stands. It'll put a little extra cash in your pocket, at least (plus, I'm a freak...I have to have matching gear or I freak out. Moldavite earring...>_<).


Combat Caster Cloak:
It's your call about the MP. I'm a taru, so I really don't know if the MP on the hairpin is that important or not. I wore a Combat Caster's Cloak until lv58...so go figure. Even at lv58, I didn't use a hairpin...I went with an Erudite's Headband. I don't know why people don't use that more...but w/e lol. It's your choice really, but there's no reason not to buy the Combat Caster just because Tactician Magicians Cloak is coming up. I never wore the thing (I could get +2 int with CCC or +2 int with TMC+Erudite's Headband...why buy new gear? lol)...but if you want to keep the hairpin, then that's cool too. I went with int...but MP is a perfectly good option as well.
