Level 41 -50 BLM gear!

Well the day has come... i have finally gotten to a decent level. Im fairly proud of myself now. But I was kinda wondering about gear. I think I might stick with my RSE til the Black Cloak or whatever. And i will stick with the Whale Staff til I get the elemental staves. I think my gear can do fine anyway with what i have. I was thinking about Mages Robes for my body to get rid of the -1 INT my RSE takes away from me. Are those(Mages Robes) Windy CP? Sorry for all the questions and thanks alot guys! Atrapos(Hope I spells your name right) you have helped me so much in the past. I look forward to your help once again.

I have mostly +INT gear. I'm a 53 blm and have what I like to call BCNM40 gear.

I rock the Combat Casters Cloack for +2int, the RSE Pants and boots for the +MP and INT, some ermites rings (till I can get my new ones at 53 or 54) for +4 INT. I Have a Black Cape+1 for +3 INT, a shamons waistband (I think) for +1int and 6mp.

That came fairly cheap (if you quest for the RSE of course).

If you have a little bit of gil to burn, I would equip a Morion Earring for +1int, a morion thatlum (around 28k on ragnarok) for another +1int and some MP.

Also, I would suggest you switching to a club till you can get your Elemental wants. The +5 int and MND that a solid wand gives is alot better then the 6mp you're getting from your whale staff.

Get a Mage's Robe. It's an HQ crafted item, so the AH or a skilled weaver are your best bet. At 50 you can wear the Tactician Magician's Coat, which is the best looking chestpeice a BLM can wear imo, but it's not really better than the Mage's Robe. Then at 58 you can wear either a Justaucorps (I have the +1) or your AF body. At 59 you can also wear the Black Cotehardie, though it's usually very expensive on most servers and has annoying penalties (the -30 Fire resist allowed a "decent challenge" goblin's Bomb Toss to kill me in a single hit from full HP!)

And ditch the Whale Staff for a wand dangit! ><;

Ew I hate wands. They are so small its like slapping someone with a wooden spoon. I might think about changing when i get my shitty AF wand then wait til I can get the elemental staves but the staff has been working for me so far. I mean I just hit stuff and cast magic. I can see where +5 INT would be nice though. Wands just aren't for me though. Thanks for the advice guys. Helpful as always.

You should...never use the blm af weapon. It's a disgrace to all AF's. You're better off using the onion staff you start off with.
