Shaman's Cloak?

You have to kill Centurio X-I in Quicksands to get this, right? According to http://ls-eternalforce.net/en/html/k...rum/index.html he was beaten by two lvl 70s. Does anybody know if that's the minimum or if an even weaker group could probably take him out? How do you force his spawn? How often does he spawn?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks^^

He's a lottery pop, so anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Most often 2 hours.

A level 68 red mage soloed him, so he can't be that tough. I'd say a party around 55 could take him, just dont let him cast any ancient magic on you.

Well, if his Jamming Wave special is the same as a normal Antican's, I probably won't bring echo drops. I almost never got hit with it back when I was XP'ing on Ants because I stand pretty far away. My party should be quick with the Silenas so I doubt it will be a problem. What I thought Andry was trying to say when he said to bring echo drops was that Centurio had some sort of super Jamming Wave or something...I guess I was just reading too much into what he wrote.

A Few opinions:

A. As far as difficulty, a party of low-50s could probably handle him with a tough fight. Party of 55+ shouldn't have much problems. Party of 60+'s he should be cake.

B. In my opinion, this Cloak is better than all other armor for BLM up to the Black Cloak due to the Elemental Magic +5 and INT +4. For casting Enfeebling spells, BLM is better off wearing his AF (I think the hat gives +Enfeeble or something?). You can easily add equipment changes into your macros to take advantage of this.

C. When you get to the level where you can wear / afford Vermillion, it's hardly necessary. If you party with a BRD or RDM (which most BLM prefer to do) you shouldn't be having MP problems to begin with. Elemental Magic +5 will give your nukes a higher chance of dealing max Damage, which is always a good thing.

Personally I'd buy the black cotehardie and ice staff instead. Then you can wear the hat and get +6 int (from hat and body armor) but cotehardie is around level 59 I think.

It rocks and I'm gonna carry one around when I can, then switch to a pyro robe vs. goblins. This way I only carry around 2 robes, instead of AF+black cloak + all the resist robes. Woot 30 unused spaces and there are tons on midgard.

You should be getting hit with the bombs anyway....
Id take +4 int and +5 elemental over +6 int.
Personally, Id like to carry around the shaman cloak for normal PTs, and use AF when in a pt who cant hold hate very well. +5 elemental is like having an elemental skill more than a lvl higher than what yours really is, which is the single most important stat for resists, which are a pain. Id say the cloak and AF are both incredibly nice, but buth are situational.
