While I don't fully understand your question, I think compared to starting all over again, it's much easier if you just leveled your lv 12 BLM to 18 for subjob.

As a BLM, just head down to the maze and kill yourself some maze makers for some quick exp, or grab a party outside Selbina/Mhaura for some group actions. Either way will get you through the remaining 6 levels a lot faster then leveling a warrior from lv 1 to lv 18.

However, if your intention is to ditch the BLM job all togather and going WAR instead because you are not having fun as a BLM, then by all means, switch to something you will enjoy.

i agree w/ yuan for the most part... it would be easier to just level your BLM to lvl 16 then dumping it if you so choose... i did something similar, i was originally going to go WAR all the way to 30. I got it to lvl 16 before i found it to be REALLY boring... i mean i press control+A and hope the WHM does his/her job and occasionally press a WS macro. So i tried BLM for a bit (to lvl 7) and found it to be much more interesting so i was convinced by a LS mate to go to Valk and finish lvling to 18 w/ WAR and i was able to w/out any deaths and got my subjob after PT disbanded... now i am a BLM/WHM... ummm slash... WHM/BLM
