Gear questions

Well, I've finally gotten my BLM up to 41, and I'm not really sure what I should be looking for, gear-wise. Previously I'd mostly been playing my white mage, so I have a lot of +MP and +MND gear, and my INT seems a bit low (46+14).

What I'm using now:

Solid Wand
Electrum Hairpin
Holy Phial
Enhancing Earring
Black Earring
Royal Squire's Robe
Hume custom gloves
2 x Eremite's ring
Black Cape
Friar's Rope
Hume custom pants
Hume custom boots

Should I work on getting more INT, or MP, or...? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you want int, I suggest the following changes:

Holy Phial for a Black Silk.
Friar rope for either a Shaman Belt or Merc. Capt.

Maybe you can switch the Hairpin for a Erudite Headband, but being a hume you will loose quite some mp for just +1 int.

I am a taru, so I just focus on +int and dont bother with +mana. I rather have spells less resisted than be able to cast 1 or 2 more times. Not to mention, most +mp items come with hp penalties, so not really wise to go with that as a Taru.

Druid's rope for sure. We're on the same server Somnar (heh, I ran past you the other day in Gustav), so it should only be 5k.

I don't bother with +MP and I'm Mithra, same MP as Hume. Heck, I'm ditching my RSE pants (+32 MP) for +1 Int slacks as soon as I can get together another 50k.

I'm really annoyed that Mithra RSE gives no +int even though we have the same int as Hume...

I'd suggest getting the morion tathlum also. It's around 30k and gives +1 int as a ranged weapon.

yeah you can accidentally throw it if you some how hit ctrl+d. never had it happen...never really concerned me much anyway. i also am a hume blm, and i don't bother with any mp equipment (except my custom pants, nice stats ^_^). all my equipment is geared towards int. i hardly if ever run out of mp in parties, cuz we always have a rdm...

at 40, i was using....
combat caster's cloak (+2 str, int, -2 mnd 8k gil or 8k cp)
solid wand
black cape + 1 (+3 int, 40k)
morion tathlum (+1 int, 38k)
custom boots
custom pants
druid's rope (+1 int, mind 5k)
black silk neckerchief (+1 int, 2k)
eremite's ring x2

also, i ate melon pies every time i leveled, total int = +24

at that level, i think i had just about all the affordable +int gear...some more expensive stuff i'm aiming for at the moment...

morion earring x2 (+1 int, +4 mp 100k)
eremite's ring +1 x2 (+3 int, 150k)

prices are average on Siren

My suggestion to you...

Earings: Morion Earings x2 (+1 morion earings if you're rich).
Ammo: Morion Tathlum
Back: Red Cape +1
Rings: Astral Ring, +1 Eremites ring.

Those would help you out big time for lvl 40ish.

Check out Zircon ring instead of Eremite +1. It's +3 INT and +7 Ice or Water save, and costs 1/2 the price on Fenrir, cuz it's lvl 36 limited.
