A good point about Elvaan Blms

A good point about being a Elvaan mage is that they have higher defense than a typical Taru Taru mage- so in a way an Elvaan mage would have the upper hand (specially if they are a white mage)- dont you agree?

No, cuz Elvaan black mages might have higher defence, but black mages are all about magic and elvaans have very low MP. So elvaan's do not make the best of mages. It's all about MP for mages.

But , i think what he getting at is that. A dead BLM/WHTM is no good to anyone. So if a mage gains aggro (and they will) they Elvaan can take a hit better than a Taru, allowing the tank more time to provoke.

/yes

However when it comes to things like BCNM or a strong boss you wish you had more HP if you are taru mage. Expect to die or be near death often. Other races can wear astral rings and other MP boosting equipment so it's not so bad.
