Re: Ordelle Caves*
16-19: Ordelle's Caves
Enter Ordelle's Caves from La Thiene Plateau at F-7. This is the entrance used in San d'Oria Mission 2-1 "The Rescue Drill". From levels 16 until you hit level 19, Ordelle's Caves will be a great hunting ground both for xp, as well as fine tuning your "Heel" and "Stay" /pet commands (a.k.a. "Ghetto Leave").
At Level 16
Pets: Stink Bats [15-18]
Prey: Stink Bats [15-18]
Upon entering Ordelle's Caves, you will come to your camp: a small open room with a pond to the east, and two corridors, one to the east and the other to the west. In this room will be four Stink Bats spawn points, and two Snipper spawn points in the pond to the east. In the corridor to the west are two more Stink Bats spawns. In the corridor to the east, beyond the pond, will be three additional Stink Bats spawns as well as a Blood Bunny spawn. None of the mobs in this first area aggro, but they do link, so mischarms can be deadly. Luckily, you're close to a zone line so deaths will be infrequent.
The Stink Bats in this area will con EM to T. The Snippers T, and the Blood Bunny T. Find an EM Stink Bats, charm it, and send it to fight a T Stink Bats. Because Stink Bats link, be sure your prey has no other Stink Bats around it. To be safe, once your pet has successfully landed a hit or two, walk towards the zone line and "Heel" your pet to continue the fight away from the other Stink Bats. Snippers and Blood Bunnies may prove too resilient at this level to be considered as prey, so I would avoid them.
At Level 17
Pets: Stink Bats [15-18]
Prey: Stink Bats [15-18], Blood Bunny [17-19], Snipper [17-20]
Stink Bats versus Stink Bats will still be your primary pet/prey combination, but at 17 your prey becomes more varried. You can now send your Stink Bats pet against the lone Blood Bunny down the corridor to the east, as well as attack a Snipper if the two spawns are somewhat far apart. A note on fighting Snippers: Flying pets like your Stink Bats will intimidate Aquans such as Snippers. If targetting Snippers, you must use the "Heel" command to get the prey out of the water and away from the potential link.
At Level 18
Pets: Stink Bats [15-18], Blood Bunny [17-19], Snipper [17-20]
Prey: Blood Bunny [17-19], Snipper [17-20], Goblins (Ambusher, Butcher, Tinkerer) [17-20]
You have a large array of EP to EM pets to choose from, which should make getting full xp from your T prey much easier. If you haven't expanded your hunting grounds to the east and the west, now is the time to do so. Through the corridor to the west, you'll find two to three more Stink Bats spawns, two to three Blood Bunny spawns, and most importantly, a cadre of T Goblins for you to hunt. There will be one of each Ambusher, Butcher and Tinkerer in this collection. They of course link, so care must be taken when sending your pet to fight: be sure to "Heel" your pet once they've attained hate and pull back to the corridor with the two Stink Bats spawns.
Further down the corridor to the east, passed the pond, there will be a set of descending stairs that lead to two more Stink Bats spawns, another Blood Bunny, and usually at the foot of the stairs is a lone Goblin Tinkerer or Butcher.
Once you've attained level 19, virtually none of your potential pets will be EM, and virtually none of your prey will be T. It's possible to grind out the 4k xp or so to reach 20, but there are better pet/prey combinations elsewhere to accomplish this, such as Buburimu Peninsula.
