Re: Boyahda Tree*
Quoted from Alla:

Spald @ Leviathan, 60-63 range
"This place is a heaven for bst, especially at 60 when it is easy to keep chains up. The exp will be significantly reduced from what you may be used to fighting bombs in Garliage, but so is the aggrevations of angry parties and lots of aggro. For the beginning tunnels, everything is aggro free (with the exception of NMs). Your primary pets will be funguars and your prey will usually be spiders. An EM funguar can usually take a T spider alone, and can take up to a T++ if you help and get lucky with a Dark Spore (I've seen up to 900 damage on these). You can easily make a good bit of money here in Spider webs, Dark crystals (on Funguars), different variaties of mushrooms, and even gil drops from NMs (Don't plan on doing Aquarius here at 60-63 solo because there are always a camper or two here that will steal the claim while your changing pets and you'll likely end up with an angry crab hitting you for 200-300 a swing, because of all the hate you built up, that you can do nothing but run away from.
As for camps, I tried the one at J-10 and found it difficult because spiders spawn there and that can be frustrating to get those links mid fight, so I moved up to I-12 where there are about 4 funguars and no spider spawns. After converting a few to EMs, you have the choice of fighting the spider hallway to the East, two spider spawns just to the west, or killing the T Funguars that spawn in the room. The problem with fighting other funguars, besides the difficulty avoiding links, is that they love to use Spore which practically makes a pet worthless for about 5 minutes so you may start to have trouble keeping chains on them. Also, Ellyon (sp?) spawns in this room as a lottery pop to the funguars that you will likely be converting. He drops a rare/ex helm that can't be worn as bst (too bad, its would actually be really nice for healing) but can be a fun fight with a guaranteed 6000 gil drop.
About the only problem you will have here are the spider farmers that may sweep the area clean every once in awhile. Luckly your getting to a level that even 75s have trouble killing so they aren't going to be killing the spiders too much faster than you are. If you find yourself lacking in spiders, just switch over to funguars until the respawn."

Sojobo @ ???, 65-68
"Using onion heads as pets, a team of bsts can easily take the elder goobs and steelshells on the upper floor. I actually started doing this in a 6 bst pt at 65, but by 67, 3 bsts is enough to safely take them down.
Elder goobs have an Aoe silence and directional paralyze atks, as well as Blow, Uppercut and Beatdown. Uppercut is a high damage single target atk, Blow is a dmg atk that stuns target, and Beatdown is a medium dmg atk that bind's target. I found that it was safer not to use food that increased atk or str. Flint caviar is still nice, as are pies to push your mp higher if you are lacking.
If you take on the Steelshells, try to have one of the bsts in your party sub rdm or bard for dispel/finale. Thier def boosts can make finishing them off a bit rough.
Also, having a full rdm in the pt could be nice as well. We experimented a bit with this at 66, 3 bsts and 1 rdm/whm. You can either have the rdm play the backline and dispel/ refresh/ enfeeble/ -na spell as neccassary, or let him get in the mix with his sword too. Of course with the goobs aoe silence that could be bothersome, but we were a laid back group."

Re: Boyahda Tree*
I would not recommend this place until 61. At 60 it's something of a nightmare as there will be very few EM pets around. Maybe I just had bad luck in that department but it just wasn't worth it exp wise.
Level 61 is much better, though you still might have trouble grabbing an em pet if you haven't been converting here and there.
62 is fantastic, you can now start charming the Mandies that you've no doubt seen all over, and these mandies are viscous. I've solo'd VT crabs with them no problem, they hit hard, they hit twice, and they hit fast. Another plus is that pet swaps are rarely needed with them if your going up against crabs or crawlers. Just be wary of their many AoE TP moves that grab agro from everything in the zone >.>

Re: Boyahda Tree*
it's hell to EXP there at 60, i couldn't find EM Spiders nor EM Funguars. had to depop MANY for ONE EM to pop.
isn't worth the trouble at 60, maybe 61 it'll be better but i've joined an EXP party 60-62.
at 62 everything there was DC-EM and Mandragoras was Tough mostly except a few poped EM.
good EXP at 62, but at that level the Wajoom woodlands(Bee VS Lesser Colibri) will be better EXP indeed.

Re: Boyahda Tree*
Level: 60,61,...(still here at 61)
I used Death Caps [60-63] and Bark Spiders [60-63] against Spiders, Mourioches [62-68], and Moss Eaters [62-66].
Camp: Basically, you can camp anywhere east of the Aquarius room due to the abundance of pets. However, I personally like the little room in J-10 of the first map.
This place was pretty refreshing and laid back after Toraimarai Canal.
At 60, I started off using Death Caps against Spiders (Silence Gas and Dark Spore dealt some pretty nice damage: I was seeing anywhere from 200-500+ on these). Also, Spore (Paralyze) and the Blind status from Dark Spore are pretty nice too.
On the other hand, I found Sickle Slash could reach 500+ on my pets, plus the Killer (intimidation) effect of Spiders vs. Funguars (Vermin > Plantoid) . I decided to try Spiders vs. Death Caps to use the correlation to my advantage, but found the Funguar TP moves to be too annoying to fight. So, I stuck with Death Cap vs. Spider.
With respect to the camp, I like J-10, because there are only two Funguars that wander in this little room. Thus, on pet swaps, a mischarm will not lead to 3-4 Death Caps pummeling you death (many of the other Funguar rooms have 3-5 Funguars in them, and I died several deaths due to a mischarm). You can tame your mischarm and wait out the spider hits until charm is back up. The only downside to the Funguars is that it took 10+ minutes to down convert them to EM’s sometimes.
Also, there are two spiders in this room, and they will link. I recommend swapping Funguars back and forth to shed the link until the first is dead. Then, you can kill the remaining Spider in the room. After both of these spiders are dead, you can pull spiders from the south (three wander the tunnel south of this room, and two more wander in the side tunnel passing between J-11 and K-11). I found that after five/six spiders the first one respawns.
All-in-all, I would say this is a wonderful camp. I consistently landed chain 3 here (a few unfortunate chain 1’s and 2’s, but a few refreshing chain 4’s).
At 61 here, I continued the same routine of Funguar vs. Spider, but then got adventurous >D, and tried Spider vs. Mandy (Vermin > Plantoid) in this same camp. I found this doable, but wasn’t too impressed. It can take two pet swaps to take down one of the higher level mandies here, and sort of killed chaining. Then, another correlation hit me: Plantoid > Beast (Funguar vs. Rabbit).
This results in some real nice chains; usually, one Funguar could take down a bunny, allowing me to jump in and melee early on. The same Funguar Sic moves still did nice damage, and the intimidation factor was an extra bonus. Basically, I used the 2 Funguars in the J-10 room and pulled the bunnies from out in the Aquarius room.
Bonuses:
These mobs drop the coffer key, and pretty often. So, you can get your map (if you don’t have one already), or a decent chunk of gil (out of 6 coffers, I’ve netted 40,000+ gil, a zircon, and the map).
Although not as good as it used to be, but spiders drop spider webs (3k on my server). It’s not a lot of gil, but I got about 10 of them in total so far.
Also, I tried AQ at 60, just for kicks. He will eat a level 60 pet in no time, and then come and try to eat you (200-300+/hit). After throwing so many pets at him, it took more than 1 or 2 hits for my pet to grab hate; I had to duck out before I had permanent hate () on Aquarius.BST66
Have you hugged your Taru today =)

Re: Boyahda Tree*
the Korrigans's camp (Black mandragoras) VS elder goobs camp rock, i went there at 74 and left the camp with ~24 wisteria lumber, NPCed them for a total of ~160K ^^ and of course planted the cuttings xD, you can also fight the Steelshells (crabs) which is much easier to kill than the goobs.
camp is kind of bad at 75, due to goobs poping DC breaking chains.

Re: Boyahda Tree*
Notice a lot of talk about Funguar vs. Spiders, but I personally didn't find the use of Funguar very productive since Funguar like to cluster together and link by sound. I generally used the two spiders just outside the Ellyllon camp better to use. Spiders just link by sight and it was much easier to get out of a bad mischarm since you could release one facing the opposite way and the run to charm the other.
The only real downside to Spiders vs Funguar is when the very rare virus effect tags you or a spider. With Zeta biscuts, its not really too hard to keep those spiders alive and I found myself resorting to using Reward less and less between 61 and 63.
I should note my methods are also largely based on profit potential and Funguars just drop more stuff and spiders are stingy and webs are practically worthless thanks to ToA expansion. Funguars also seem to drop more coffer keys. Either way you go with the spiders and funguars, you'll find its not too hard to get chain #3 or #4.
Ellyllon occasionally will spawn and its not too hard to deal with, but make sure you've cleared the room of Funguars before engaging him or at least plan on using them against him. He really goes apeshit with TP moves at about 25% HP. Dark Spore, Silence Gas and Spore constantly go off. I actually preferred to send other plantoid mobs against him, also drawing from mandies I found near Aquarius' spawn area.
Yeah and a note about Aquarius. People said don't fight him and, yeah, don't do that at the early 60s levels, but keep an eye out for other people that do engage him. I've seen morons kite this NM all the way to zone and seen it lay waste to foolish soloists, Fellow NPC levellers and skillup duos. If you decide to roam about to the other spider and funguar camps, keep sneak up just in case. Its never fun to turn a corner and find an NM waiting to aggro and wreck you.
Otherwise I gotta say I absolutely love this zone. I walked in one evening with 7k in gil and walked out with about 90k from Ellyllon encounters, loot and coffers, not to mention the usual mountain of beastmen and kindred seals.
