99 bst questions?

hello everyone, been kind of out of the loop since i deployed. when did/are SE raising the level cap to 99? My net is super filtered so i cant check the official sites or high profile forums. When it happens I was wondering how bst/dnc would workout, and if bst/nin has DW III at 99. Have they added more charmable pets in the various areas of the expansions? Have they made bst more viable for the small endgame stuff? If i get back on its more than likely going to be full time bst again. When aht urghan came out it kind of took the wind out of my sails as far as soloing on bst went. Thanks for the info.

the cap change hasn't happened yet. Its going to phased in with the three Abyssea add-ons, a set of levels each time.

Nothing has changed for BST currently at endgame, either, but this level change will obsolete the old endgame, that's to be sure. With the small group focus for some of the future of endgame, things are certain to be more favorable for pet jobs since you'll be able to work with friends rather than rely specifically on endgame linkshells (though I'm sure they'll try to get a stranglehold on the notion that they're needed for such things).

As for what skills you'll have as /DNC or /NIN, it all depends on what skills BST gets and how WS, abilities and traits will be altered with the changes.

SE are planning to raise the level gap in small steps. In June the level cap will go to 80.

BST/DNC should work out cool, as it would for nearly every other job.
BST/NIN should get DWIII no prob, but they will not get Yonin/Innin as it will remain NIN exclusive, said somewhere in an interview.
They have not added that much more charmable pets in the expansion. It's pretty lacking infact.
SE did say they will expand the charmable pets thing, but I'm not getting my hopes up for that.
Endgame? I need some examples, otherwise you're forced to use jug pets:

- Aside from a few assaults, every assault
- Nyzul
- Dynamis
- Sea
- Limbus
- Einhenjar
- Sky (indoors)
- ZNM might be an exception
- BCNM
- KSNM
- Battlefield Mission Fights
- Most campaign areas (without the use of familiar)
- Ballista/Brenner (lol)

SE did add "Ready" to replace "Sic" with some sort of charge system for BST though, when using jug pets, but that doesn't make it that much more viable unless you want to dump 10-20k on a cactuar jug pet for 1000 need spam.

ToAU made levels 62-72 really fast/easy for BST, I'm not sure why you say it took the wind out of your sails lol. Let me know if you have more questions.

thanks for all the info guys. that picture is blocked for me. it took the wind out of my sales b/c bst was my first job to 75 and the only thing i played on for the first year of the game. When aht urghan and wings of the goddess came out, i was hoping for some new solo merit spots, but it turns out a duo burn on dhamel in the penisula was still better. maybe some new high speed NMs that i could solo too. Every area seemed to work against bst for solo at 75.
