PET Exp loss?

I could not find anything about this that was posted recently, but the guides from a few years back said that when you tame a beast kill something with it you get -30% exp. I just unlocked BST the other day and at lvl 1 I killed a mob that gave me 80exp, I then tamed a mob then killed the same type i killed last time and got the same 80exp. So question is did SE take away the -30% exp from BST taming stuffs and killing with them?

Yes it was taken away in 2007.

However if your charmed mob is of a higher level than you then you will still suffer an EXP loss.

To expand on that: technically there is no EXP loss. It's just that EXP is always calculated based on the highest level character that acted on the mob. If you're Lv.10, and your pet is Lv.11, and you kill a Lv.11 mob, the EXP is calculated as if you killed an Even Match, not a Tough. So it's more EXP if your pet doesn't exceed your level; but it's usually better this way anyways, since the higher level the pet, the less Charm lasts, the harder it is to Charm, and the more dangerous it is when it uncharms.
