I know I can charm a leech in dunes that cons VT for like 30 secs but what if I use Familiar after? Could I technically keep it for 30 mins and kick arse?!? Fellow BSTs help me out!

yes, you can familiar a pet of any level as long as it's charmed. it'll last 30 minutes. Keep in mind though that your exp will be based off the level of the pet as relevant to the mob you're fighting. Kind of like when you have a higher level player in a party with you. -

This is also handy for tearing up EP's and DC's in your zone. It's also fun.
On a related note, if you're taking BST up, charming and then using familiar on an IT slime will come in handy in the future when you farm a fomor codex or subligar for your Gaudy Harness. (Get the Gaudy Harness. It's worth it imo.)Comment

Just to add, Familiar doesn't extend the duration of jug pets, so while you can "power them up" (blindly), you will not be able to extend the time it is out for.[LadyKiKi]
