This is funny to me. Apparently an unemployed kid with no life what-so-ever who strokes his epeen 16hrs/day is better than everyone else here. These people that literally do nothing with their life other than play in fantasy land are living in a dream world if they think for one second their better than anyone else.

I'm sorry but you could have all 20 jobs to 75 opseff, maat's cap, and full relic and I would simply just laugh at you for thinking it's ok to drop 15 hours a day into a video game... for years apparently.

Ospeff is funny, not intentionally, but funny because he thinks just because he's magically mastered the art of getting 75 that he's somehow above the rest of us. You said that getting 75 in three weeks wasn't that hard, even while working, you implied the nuances aren't as big as I made them out to be.

You're right in that you don't have to solo to 75, but what was the OP asking about here?

Now, if this is too long for your pea of a brain, I can stop right here. But I'll just make it easy on you - grouping up and getting to 75 in a couple or a few weeks has nothing to do with soloing and duoing. Note this is the BST forum. Despite my occasional desire to PT on BST, I am mostly here for the solo, the breath of fresh air from PT grind, the danger, the excitement and the heaps of gil to be made off being a BST.

In summary, you have a similar problem to Ospeff - you didn't really read the OP, just came in to stroke the peen about how fast you level in PTs, which has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I mentioned that I've gotten BST past 50 after a few weeks of screwing around, you made up the rest. You can say that I'm not funny all you want dude, but before you go pointing out other peoples' problems maybe you should learn to comprehend what people say instead of reading a sentence and then making shit up to invent a point that must be proven through huge paragraphs that end up repeating the same garbage. To the OP:

Ultimately the speed and experience you have with BST is what you make of it. If you're just starting out in FFXI, then BST can be quite a challenge for you. Even if you've been around the block, the BST solo experience has the potential to show you parts of the game you'll seldom see.

The path to 75 is not a fast one unless you choose to form a dedicated static PT, but if you're looking to just duo all the way with a fellow BST, there's something to be said for taking the longer way around. You're looking at 3 to 5k EXP per hour.

To give you an idea of what that's like, I'm currently level 67 and my EXP to 68 is 29k EXP. Right now, I'm averaging about 4k an hour, give or take, provided no one wipes out the mobs in my current camp. So I'm looking at six hours or more just to get one level. And that's not including mishaps where I'll die.

And there's quite a bit of death to deal with, mischarms and links will happen at times. Once you get Leave to go with Charm, you can get yourself out of some potential problems, but not always. Good to keep a reraise item handy no matter what, though. You won't be seeing Reraise from a WHM subjob til, oh, level 66. Right now, I'll go Campaign to patch up any lost EXP and then head back to my camp when I feel I've made it back. I like making gil of mob drops, so I don't Campaign for long.

Plus Campaign doesn't cover skill-ups, so you don't want to completely rely on Campaign to level up. No harm in going at it after you've capped Axe if that's the way you want to go, though.

Take some time to go through The Beastmaster Anthologies on this forum, there's some good info to be had there on various camps in the game. There's a more comprehensive list over on FFXIclopedia regarding camps by level, you can find it in the Beastmaster job section there.

I see you're still butthurt that I refuse to do more than skim your gigantic posts. When you go on a tirade over a simple statement, why do you expect the person you're raging at to listen to your bullshit? This argument was started because I made a comment that with preparation BST can be done in a few weeks. Provided that the player knows what he/she is doing I see no problem whatsoever, but you got your panties in a bunch and insisted that anyone who tries to rush it will suck because they're not leveling as slowly as you. That's why I decided to poke fun at your elite attitude as well, because there are players like myself that already know all the nuances of your favorite pet job and we didn't take 3 years to learn it like you did. What bothers me is you put so much time and effort into being a jackass that you write a Novella explaining in explicit detail how anyone who doesn't play your way is doing it wrong and they should stop before you get really annoyed and Baww in your LiveJournal.

I used to be all about the Act II, but then I tried some Orville Reddenbocker; turns out I like it more. My entire popcorn perception paradigm has been flipped upside-down.

I'm 25 and I'm pretty sure I make more money than you from my severance and unemployment benefits alone. And as I said before, I hadn't even played FFXI for like 3 years, just reactivated when I got laid off in February. But keep trying to make excuses as to why you are bad at the game, I would be upset too if I were playing for years and only amounted to being a 75 PLD.

I don't see anybody mentioning the fact that you need gil to buy gear, although I probably just missed it or skipped over it when the arguments started. If you have a nice stream of gil coming in then that will take a few weeks off grinding/farming so you can buy your gear. If not it is still possible to skirt by with the minimum gear, it just depends on what kind of experience you want to have as a player.

Any idiot can PLAY a job. But if you power through the levels too quickly.. you don't learn how to best put those skills to use.

Also, I would imagine his 75 PLD would wipe the floor with your own (If you have it) simply because he has more experiance.

But keep trying to make excuses as to why you are bad at the game, I would be upset too if I were playing for years and only amounted to being a 75 PLD.

We don't suck at the game, we just enjoy playing it at our own pace..

It all comes down to this. You think you're cool cause you have X amount of Jobs at 75. We think you're an idiot because you stroke that e-peen of yours more then anything else. You're 25 and you act like the 12 year old kids on Xbox Live. Seriously grow the hell up, all jobs at 75 won't help if no one wants anything to do with you.

Yeah, Act II sucks. >.> Last time I had some was about when I figured that out, of course. Orville Redenbacher is pretty good, and Pop Secret is decent. I don't see what's so paradigm-flipping about that, personally.

It's been a while since I actually had any microwave popcorn, as my microwave inexplicably started freaking out whenever I put popcorn in it one day. It wasn't just one particular package, either, and I think I've tried it with multiple brands, too. If you can buy something along the lines of a popcorn air-popper, and just buy the kernels for that, a little really does go a long way. And that goes for the butter, too: you can just take a little bit of regular butter, melt it in the microwave or whatever, and pour it over the popcorn.

You would think that, and yet I still see dozens of WARs not using their Great Axes and Crossbows, and legions of PLDs that insist on using Gluttony Sword and strapping on VIT gear up the wazoo, neglecting more beneficial stats.
