    I think everyone reading this thread completely understands what this thread is about, the only person who seems out of place seems to be you lun4tic. Josher as well as some others were discussing the BST character and made some suggestions, then you go in and insult someone and use false/made up information to back it up.

    As far as misunderstanding your posts, either you dont know how to compose your thoughts correctly or have no clue what you are talking about. Maybe both...

    You feel bad for yourself? Well I also feel sorry for you, because you apparently have no clue what's going on.

      Thats obviously a false statement...the world will never get better. Having a select few that could read a thread and fully undersand it before shouting their mout off? Please...you must have some really really bizzare dreams if you think that will honestly make the world a better place.

      Point explained why lun4tic is "out of place" or whatever ZeroXD said...mm...that was completley off topic tho what I just posted...ah well ~~;

        We're still talking about the beastmaster right?

        Well I'm gonna kinda get this forum back on track. (STEP AWAY FROM THE INSULTS! IT'S JUST A GAME!) <<For me at least it is>> Anyway, I haven't played Final Fantasy XI yet, but I've been doing a lot of research on this site. When I first went to Playonline.com, I looked immediately at the classes and such. I was amazed to see that the beastmaster was a choosable job class. I was always fond of summoning things in final fantasys and other PC games alike (Warcraft III) But how powerful are the beastmasters really? Can you tame a behemoth? Salute to all the veterans on this kick a$$ site.
        Did you think something like the end of the world would kill me?

            From San d'Oria go down through West Ronfuare, all the way south into that place who's name I can't remember... Then once your in follow the cliff line to your left all the way down another small cliff, once down you should see a giant crevace, follow the soldiers and you'll find a cave in the back.

            Good luck.

                    Behemoth is a HNM and cannot be tamed.

                          My region map doesn't circle Ordelles, but I think it has two entrances.

                          If your on the quest you just need to go in the first entrance, and the guy is right there to your left, but whatever else I dunno.

                            Keeping Pets

                            If they ever make it where BST can keep pets, I'll not only drop the plan to make a BST/WHM, I'll probably drop the game. Look at what happened to Ultima Online. Tamers became the most powerful and unbalanced class in the game by a gigantic reach because they could sic their overpowered pets on anything with almost no risk of being injured. Any place a warrior or mage could fight, a tamer could do better. I'll cry if the same happens to FFXI. Many of these jobs are based off of the old FF games, and nowhere could a beastmaster keep a pet after the fight. The fact that we can keep them for 5 mins is pretty valuable, but any more than that and Square would be repeating others' mistakes, which I believe they are too smart to do. The best thing about FFXI is the balance.

                              I like the idea of a BST... Hmm. I have a few disputes though. I don't want to start an argument, but I agree with different people on a few levels. BSTs have some decent power bestowed upon them... I can see why they'd have a 30% xp loss, it makes sense. If you have an extra tool for doing the damage, you should get hurt, unless you're crafty enough to fluctuate the health in the fight and give up your pet towards the end, as others have said. I think its a little unfair to have crappy chains, but again, you gotta even it out somehow.

                              I like the idea of having a pet in tow, or maybe even being able to store pets in the moogle house and selecting which you want to use... But its unrealistic, as fun as it would be. BST is probably the most challenging class, and I give credit to anyone who is bold enough to take it up.
                              Die?
