I am probably going to get laugh at for now showing up to the "SLIMES PETS FTW" party a few years late but won't be the first time being late to the party...nor the last >.> (*cough* theonion.com *cough*)

I was in Korroka tunnel (sp?). I found a easy pray - decent challenge slime in the first Giant clam room. With that slime i would plow through bats and worms before it dies (15min respawn). I level from 25-26 in a couple hours.

I was going to end the night when I remember a post someone said to get the strongest mob you can charm and 2hr. So I found a Tough+ slime to charm and 2hr...I have never seen soooooooooooooooooooooo (takes a breath) ooooooooooooooo much exp rollin in a 24 minute period. (it was 24minutes because I ran out of bats and decided to try the spiders which has a magic damage/poison WS the two i fought ate my slime alive) I destroy all the tough combat bats in the area. I think I got to chain 8-9 before i started fighting the spiders.

On a side note, these are the first mobs i was able to fight along side without getting any hate.

Yeah, I loved this levels in Korroloka. Back when I went through that level range, I could only pop on and exp for a short bit and then log off. So I would be able to use my 2 hour quite often. This was also back before SE removed the 30% exp penalty when you had a charmed pet when the mob died. And even with that exp penalty, it was still really good exp.

By the way, it would've been better to charm an EM slime, since charming a T will lower your EXP and the EM would probably have done just as well.

Just how many beastmaster guides are there that basically consist of "Go to slime, charm. If successful, TWO HOUR NAO DUUD. If not, RUN LIKE HELL. Once you have slime, go kill thing."?

From the top of my head, Soloing subligars in Phomonia Aqueducts(sp). Charm It+++ slime 2hr and then go kill the fomor type you need. No really needed now that they have lowered the reward timer so you can use a dc slime and still kill things off.

So true, Charm Resist 3 should make you think otherwise. Was part of of a bst trio in Mount Zayhlom(sp), and we tried to charm a clot there. All had good charm gear. I think we had 10+ misscharms in a row on a single clot at 75.

Big fuck you to the NIN/BST who was with me when we popped Brass Borer who insisted on coming NIN/BST to help us 3-4 other BSTs out (well, he was our leader). His main BST level is 61 and he completely broke the game by charming the clot on his first try whereas me as RDM/BST and 3 other BSTs there were struggling to charm clots despite the gear and I was busy babysitting them as I slept, binded, gravitied each mischarmed clot while keeping some alive who were struggling GAHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh .... afk killing myself

And because our leader didn't play BST seriously (we believed he partied to 61) he simply stood there idle instead of using his clot to fight our angry clots ...

Otherwise, anywhere with Slimes/Leeches and up to a point, Tigers/Antlions were very fun and good . . .

I am still quite amazed how powerful slime pets are.

Last night I saw the ??? for the Morion Worm. I cleared the room of all worms then ran down the tunnel to get a slime. All the slimes were DC to me (level 27). I figured ill charm the slime then charm the bats in the room when the slime dies to assist with damage.

So, I charmed the slime (5 mischarms ) then popped the Morion Worm. The slime and I soloed the worm. All I did was keep dia and slow on the worm. (No drop )

Now just have to convince SE to make a Slime jug pet...

If you really like slimes, read up on Bostaunieux-Oubliette if you haven't already. I loved this camp. Exp came in really, really fast. Good luck with that BST!!

Also...Mountain Clots really do suck. Previously stated, but it needs mentioned again. I think it only took twice for me to figure out that I didn't want to use these as pets w/o another BST there just in case or unless I had a clear run to the zone line.

Bostaunieux is a great camp for slimes... though you have to be very careful because if you mischarm at some camps, there isnt very much room for you to run before you find something that will aggro you. I forget which level you need to hit before charming slimes there becomes semi-reliable but its a nice place to go. Close to town and quick to get to... and no one really goes down to fuck with you unless its another bst or some people questing.
