Just for a little practice, i went as 75BRD/37BST to The Boyahda tree, i thought the extra CHR would help a little, lullaby for mischarms, elegy to help my pet, etc. Good practice. I had leave though, so not really good practice pre-leave.

I'm currently at work, but my character is sat in Nashmau waiting to go out and solo as once I get home from work and sorted things out. If it proves to be more difficult I will do something this weekend.

I can create a Level 65 video of soloing outside Nashmau as DRK/BST. However, due to how some birds drop to Decent Challenge, it might not be possible to keep up a chain depending on availability and if a party/another BST is there or not. But, the same principles will apply to a 63DRK/BST (or 63WHATEVER/BST). But I tend to grind it out there until 67 as the next camp isn't feasible without Leave.

Before I do go creating it though ... :

It all kinda depends how confident you are when doing it. People may criticise my method(s) as being too dangerous and not worth the effort/risk. I sometimes force my pet to suicide or actually pet swap/find new pet midfight. What I do might not work for everyone else. I can only create the video in the hope everyone can see what I do and learn from it, but not mimic it and expect it to work (i.e. mischarm + 100 links + death...)

EDIT: If it proves more difficult than imagined (in terms of creating a short but effective video) I will go out on THF, NIN, PLD, RDM or even BST main itself and choose an area where I would normally solo otherwise but NOT use leave and demonstrate that it is possible to solo "nearly as fast".


UPDATE: 30th September 2008

I have created the demo video of about 9 minutes long featuring 3 fights. It's all quite boring really. I wanted to extend it to 5 fights but was unable to due to another party at the Graveyard area killing all the birds. What I will do next is process the video and then chain it together to create 1 video, and upload it onto Rapidshare. But I achieved chain #2 during these fights which should be enough to prove my methods. The volume is slightly lower than expected due to the sound and music being at 50% (in game settings) that I forgot to change.

You will see how I attempt to kill off my pet (and of course, fail) to create another version of "Ghetto Leave". Of course when it does work you can expect it to go slightly faster. Other things you will see is my "thought process", although not actually written down, is down to camera movements.

If I get the chance I will recreate a video to show a quicker chain #3 or #4, in the other camp, with better volume. But due to some major bad luck yesterday in assault I kinda want to go campaigning after work to get some EXP back. I will see how it goes.
