    New BST Merit Cap? - Beast Affinity

    With the new merit caps, it seems to me that you would be able to get your jug to lvl 77 (woo!) however, the description on the merit is the same, caps at lv 75. So what exactly is the point of having doubled the merit capability of this?

    Note: I have not capped beast affinity yet, this is just out of curiousity to see if anyone has tried it and gotten their pet to con T or VT O.o;

    They didn't "double" the merit capability of Beast Affinity. The maximum number of upgrades for Beast Affinity was raised from 3 to 5. So fully capped BA would presumably push Funguar familiars from 65 to 75.

      It basically made some lower lvl jug pets more viable at 75. Though I have yet to see anyone use anything other then Lars and C.C. It also made some of the lower lvl HQ jugs more worth while to use for farming runs.

      Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

        This will be rather nice in some BC's O.o; and thanks for the clarification on the cap. Also, as little ninja said, this will make the lower lvl pets much more viable ^^! Thanks for the help lol

          I usually use Keeneared Steffi or the Fugaur familiar when I farm. 60-90 minutes duration is very nice for zones where mobs take awhile to respawn or you have to wait awhile for the time to be right for when mobs pop. Not to mention they are cheap to make and buy.

          Those are the only 2 I use now outside C.C for events, Crabs for Feral Howl, Lars for long exp sessions,
