Oh it's because most bitter BST use "normie" in a very despective way, and I don't tolerate that kinda thing.

I don't think either "normie" or "despective" is a real word? >_>

Anyway, if a BST puts up a seek flag, he better have decent DD equipment. Also, I do not invite BST before jug pets--in fact, it's always the first question I ask of a BST who has seek flag up: "Do you have jug pets?"

Oh ya sorry, I don't know English very well so I use words that don't exist in this particular language at times.

          I meant contemptous or disparaging.

And normie isn't really a word but many BST use it to refer to conventional parties.

Re: To party or not to party??

I have BST at 52, and have since (hopefully temporarily) retired it in favor of BLU.

You want to know what I think? You should party as much as you want, as much as you can, but still learn the ropes of soloing. There will come a time where you just can't exp efficiently anymore. I say, learn to solo, then take any party that will have you. You'll learn to handle sticky situations (i.e. links) and such with efficiency, and if you can't party, you can go solo a little bit.

My personal problem is that a lot of "Solo" BST tend to say "if you party, you're not a real BST," to which I say bull. I'm sorry to say it, but a party where you DD and have to split your drops (oh noes!) yet still get a nice chunk of exp is a lot better than going for hours for meager, yet horribly more dangerous than anything, exp. One death, a lot of times, blows your whole exp session, and you shouldn't be FORCED to do that.

If you want to play BST, you should learn to solo, but when it actually comes to using those soloing skills, you should be doing it by CHOICE, not by FORCE.

I soloed 90% of my 1-75 lvls, an you can include all the merits al well. the other 9.5% was in bst only pts. An the other .5% was a lvl or 2 way back in V.D when i waasnt seeking, but the pt needed a 6th member.

I agree. As a bst party when you can. An solo when you cant. Seek to find not only normal parties, But to meet other Bsts. Some of the best exp i had were in Duo an Trio parties. But i beg please dont shy away from playing solo. I have seen some 75 bsts who didnt know how to handle mass links, how to solo Hnms, an Nms becuase they spent most of there bst lives in NORMIE exp parties..

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

Re: To party or not to party??

I love to party as a bst, but alas i don't have much time to spend online i play solo and don't put up lfg flag. I accept an invite if i get one(which has come mostly from times when i didn't seek a pt).

Bst's are made for party, but with a great soloing ability. And as it is now only blu and sam out pars me in a pt.

Re: To party or not to party??

well i van say i lvl bst 10-60 in pt and pt only, didnt solo anything after lvl 10. Having a bst in a party does have its award specially after they get the abil leave, thats when any unwanted agro can be charmed and then decharmed to make it despawn and saving the day, but just incase any one doesnt know, if the charmed monster is even match to bstmaster it only affects the beast masters exp, but if its higher it affects the pt exp as well, i might be wrong but thats what i have found out on my own, but any ways i used jug pets and the funguar is pretty awsome and so is the h.q of fly trap, they are bloodthirsty lol, diremite at lvl 42 is not bad, dies too fast but i used the antlion fam alot along with the hq of the tiger back in those lvl, but watch out when it comes to use the pets w.s alot of jug pets have an area of attack and can cause agro, but if that happens let them kill your pet, they will de spawn or leave u alone, as long as the pt doesnt mess with it, i would recomend subbing thf but im currently working on diff sub see wich can be the best at the 60+ lvl fights but once im done with sam ill let you guys know.
