    Re: Charisma food...

    I use Tuna sushi for 2 reasons and will prob use it all the way with BST. +Acc and +Chr. As an Elvaan I need the +Acc and +Chr is always good (+5 at that).

      I started out using Rolanberry Pie at around level 10. It was around level 25 when I moved to Korroloka tunnel and started using Tuna Sushi. The extra +CHR helped charming jellies. If I was in luck, I could 2 hour an EM Jelly and fight along side it for the next 30 minutes (in which case the +Acc came in handy). Pet Food was necessary to keep my pet alive that whole time though.

        For general, everyday food I use Tonosama Rice Balls, which are very cheap (about 5k a stack) and handy for an all-round boost.

        Tuna Sushi is great for when you know you're going to be charming difficult stuff (e.g. Charm resistant, T+).

        Squid Sushi is nice for accuracy: useful for parties and skilling up.

        Rolanberry Pie gives 50mp, so good if you're a heavy magic user (quite probable at level 26).

        San d'Orian Tea and Chamomile Tea have a decent CHR boost and last for 3 hours
        I have heard that those who celebrate life
        walk safely amongst the wild animals.
        When they go into battle, they remain unharmed,
        the animals find no place to attack them
        and weapons are unable to harm them.
        Why? Because they find no place for death in them.

          I would suggest probably sticking with Tuna Sushi if you plan on fighting with your pet, and the CHR+5 is an excellent amount. And if you do sub WHM, and you end up needing it a lot, then go for the pies, but at your level I'd think Tuna might be better.

          Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

            Re: Charisma food...

            I've subbed WHM my entire BST career past lvl 10. I thought I'd keep using Rolanberry Pie for a lot longer than I did, especially since I already had a Monster Signa in my possession to make up for no +CHR in my food.

            But I think the mindset the +MP from Rolanberry Pie gave me actually hurt my exp. I would often end up having to rest for full MP, even when I didn't have a pet actively fighting a mob. Getting away from a larger MP pool made me look for ways to efficiently use my time, and fit in resting for MP when I actually needed it (and not just to get that red MP bar full).

            Also, if you get your Gaudy Harness, the +MP from Rolanberry Pie will become even less useful. Most of the time, 49 MP is all I need, even in camps where I'm casting Sneak after every battle and casting Dia every time it wears off.

                Yes it's a sushi, and no it's not a CHR food.

                From wiki.ffxiclopedia.org and ffxi.somepage.com:

                Bream Sushi
                * Dexterity +6
                * Vitality +5
                * Resist Sleep
                * Accuracy +16%
                * Ranged Accuracy +16%

                yet not a mote of dust is stirred;

                leaving no trace in the water.

                  Nope here is Bream Sushi's stats:
                  Tuna is the highest +CHR sushi that I know of and I believe its the highest +chr boost you can get from a food.

                  Edit: Damn why it take so long to post - I replied right after seeing it... lol

                    The only other +CHR food that I can recommend (other than the ones that have already been mentioned in the thread) would be Tavnazian Salad / Taco

                    Tavnazian Salad (duration 3 hours):
                    HP +20
                    MP +20
                    Dexterity +4
                    Vitality +6
                    Agility +4
                    Charisma +4
                    Defense +25% (Cap: 150@600 Base Defense)

                    Tavnazian Taco (duration 30 minutes):
                    HP +20
                    MP +20
                    Dexterity +4
                    Vitality +6
                    Agility +4
                    Charisma +4
                    HP Regeneration While Healing +1
                    MP Regeneration While Healing +1
                    Defense +25% (Cap: 150@600 Base Defense)

                    This food is definitely not for those on a shoe string budget. It's a food that's typically used for tanking. I've used it for BCNMs where I was expecting to get pounded during early crowd control. Because of cooks who are skilling up, the Taco tends to be cheaper than the Salad. The HQ Salad (Leremieu Salad) may be even cheaper than both (HQ salads can't be used to make Tacos, so they are often sold at a cheaper price).
