Ive seen a BRD/BST charming lesser calibri in bhaf thickets, Ive never subbed /bst with any job trying to solo, but even if the BRD/BST was 75, had a fully leveled BST subjob, and could only charm mobs that a 37 BST could charm, then how was he charming these mobs, there is no way a 37 BST could charm those.

Which charms the mobs as well... not sure though since I wasn't there to see what you saw.

As for the main topic of discussion I too have read rumors of this working but have yet to see it for myself... If anyone wants to post test results that would be awesome.

This has been proven time and time again by BSTs across all boards. Charm is directly related to the level of BST (regardless if the BST is capped as a SJ). The BST needs to be the level of the job it is subbed to in order to charm effectively. After that Apollo staff, Light staff, and lastly CHR are the other factors. This has been proven by someone going xxx/BST, then leveling the BST sub closer to main and getting a different guage response on same mob.
