just fyi, the brain of knowledge thing pertains to the number of posts you've written. let's not get a little carried away here.

i think people are just saying that its misleading to say 6-7k/hr when you've only killed a few mobs and not actually played for 1 hour.

it's like me killing 3 bombs in ulg<tab> range that happen to all blow up. yea my rate would be something like 9k/hr but ive only played for 10minutes so that's not really a true figure.

i think thats where the confusion is no? like your analogy with the car and speed. if you are driving cross country, how many actual miles you drove in 1 hour is more factual than saying, oh im getting about 120mph though, you happen to gauge it when you were driving on an open highway in the desert. if that makes sense....

xp/hr in most peoples eyes is how much actual xp gained in 1 hour, not the rate you are gaining xp. i think 3rd party plugins might make this unclear for some people.

if I'm in an exp party for an hour and a half and gain 9k exp, I'd say "that averages out to 6k/hour." Extrapolated rate or whatever big words +1. It's still a rate figure.

Is it so hard to go a day w/out attacking someone? Is it really so strange of a concept that someone would even play their own devil's advocate just to prevent some bad blood? Or even just to try to save a little face for some complete stranger?

I didn't attack anyone, until they kept pressing a moot point.

Shep's figures were misleading. Simple as that. We were pointing that out, so the OP would not expect to get 6-7k/hour because they have an empress band on. Isn't that what the topic was all about?

I think 6-7k/hour sounds insane to me because I did the bulk of my leveling before empress bands and ToAU. There were days that I was only getting 1.5-2k/hour, in transitional camp areas, between the sweet levels. Level 68-69 was really tough, but from what I've heard it's a cakewalk now in the new zones. I spent my time throwing Mouiroche after Mouiroche at steelshells... ugh, back then if you didn't duo or trio, exp was extremely slow.
