Hey, I ran into a problem recently on Diabolos with the recent RMT hordes starting new jobs around Bastok. They've been locking down Korroloka tunnel making levelling in the 20-25 range a little dicey. If you're high enough to do seeker bats in the middle of the tunnel, you're usually ok, but for those of us hoping for worms or bats nearer the zones it's a bit uglier.
So, for those of you in my boat, I thought I'd share some places that are working for me right now, maybe they'll help you guys level too.
20-22 try lizards in Meriphataud Mtns. The specific camp is in the NE corner of the area with the outpost. You'll head NE of the outpost and find a path off to the north that leads behind everything before looping back near the area of the zone towards Sanctuary of Zi'tah. In this area, all that pops are a few saplings, and a whole horde of flies and lizards. It's good exp til about 22, you may even be able to push it to 23.
22/23-25 try dhalmels in the Buburimu Penninsula area. Carnivorous crawlers and zus are also good here, though the crawlers tend to be popular with farmers. What I like to do is head for the NE corner of the zone, or even just slightly E of Mhaura. Almost everyone else heads for the beaches near Bibiki Bay or camps to the left of town, by heading right you can avoid anyone else in the area, usually. Once you hit 24, all of the beaches seem to be pretty free for leeches and pugils, (may want to try the beach near Labyrinth if someone's camping rubies for SMN quest).
The zones on the Windurst side reaching toward Jeuno are still pretty dead, but you probably want to avoid the Maze if you can, I'm noticing way more activity there than usual. Same goes for Jugner Forest on the San D'oria side, if you can get off the road you're ok, but people have been PLing on the funguars on the road.
Hopefully this helps someone else who got stuck when the tunnel suddenly skyrocketed in popularity. I'm not sure where they'll move on to when Korroloka peters out, but I'm more than a little worried about no longer having Altepa as an option if they stick close to town.
