Before the MPK patch, I was a good little boy and never felt like MPKing anyone, even when they annoyed me. But now, after the patch, I want to MPK anyone that looks at me funny or comes to my camp and says "THIS IS PT ZONE BST CAN EXP NEWHERE LOL". Perhaps it's because I know that now I can't do anything about them. Somehow just knowing that you *can* do something makes you feel better.

Re: Isn't it odd...
just use their mobs to fight the same mob.
if they want to compete with a bst for mobs, let them.
if they want to be assholes, just ignore and keep camping.
as far as stealing mobs goes, theres no such thing. as long as its yellow, its fair game. this was told to me by a gm. so use it to your advantage, just be careful on pet swaps cuz they can do it to you.Omni@Remora: NIN75 RNG75 MNK75 COR75 BST64 BRD53

simply depop mobs on them, if S.E has a problem with it you simply tell them your changing them to E.M. since their is no law against it. or you can move mobs around so they are more likely to aggro the wondering mobs. or link with some others. while they try to avoid your trap. S.E has a problem with that. say "hey im not the guy who programs mob patterns. they go where they want to". or i love to use 20 pets to kill 1 mob. so all they get to fight are former pets of mine, that give them next to none for exp.
so next time they wanna be cocky. remember the bst way. Vana'deil is our stage. an players an mobs. our just puppets for our amusment.
Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

Re: Isn't it odd...
i love how in areas where everyone sneaks/invisibles, you'll find a bst far lower in level running aruond with no buffs.
like lil_nin said, if they want to push you out or camp on top of you, let them. just use a lot of pets, and pet vs pet mobs, or start converting the whole zone. charm is a 10s recast. can they be claiming anything faster on stuff they xp on? i doubt it.Omni@Remora: NIN75 RNG75 MNK75 COR75 BST64 BRD53

Re: Isn't it odd...
Comments like that are the exact reason people look down on BST, you know. Seriously if you want people to change thier attitude towards BST and thier XP ways, then drop the attitude. Until you do, you're just another ass hole player no different than the people who LOLZ WTF BST SOLO ANYWHERE NOOB!
I'm not saying thier take on it is right, but just pouring gas on the flame isn't going to do anything but make you look like the people you look down on.

(people look down on BSTs because other jobs are better for almost anything besides soloing for exp now)
What a shock!

Re: Isn't it odd...
Originally posted by VeveExamples would be nice. No one has ever, ever said to me "Every BST I have met is an ass". Everyone has said "BST? No, we'll get x job" or "BST is gimp".
The condescension appears to be on a efficiency-only level, as opposed to a generic distaste for the person.
The reason why people look down on BSTs is probably one of the most basic human emotions:
Greed.
They perceive (correctly or not) you to be taking their valuable experience and get irritated. (Not to mention, you are one person taking experience points near to what a party might, which makes you appear to be particularly gluttonous)
Taking such a negative attitude back (as Sevenpoint has pointed out) is only likely to magnify it.Last edited by Shopee; 07-18-2006, 06:59 PM.The Knight of Faith resigns the dream, only to believe it.

Re: Isn't it odd...
Well, some examples then. I duo (as whm) with my friend (bst main) when farming eyes for hakutaku cluster, or any where else that you have to farm and get links, agro, etc. I have yet to see anyone manage links and the like as well as a BST can.
At level 60 cap assault with "uber gear" on mnk, war, nin, drg, have all been outparsed by bst/nin for straight damage.
Don't believe? Go do a 60 cap assault and fire up a parser. See just who outdamages who.
I don't like nor get the anti-bst mentality, because frankly bst rock all over other melee if the have even half an inkling of how and when to release pets and why. Also, bst seem to (in genearl) take more pride in thier job than others, which means they tend to go the extra mile as a whole - which just adds to thier abilities in general if you ask me.

2. Although I play on a PC, I don't use windower or other third party programs.
3. Does that assult have evm pets? If so, then I admit bsts are pretty good when there are evm pets around. (genbu for ex) But most of the time there are no evm pets near. (sky for ex)
