  • Thinking of coming back to BST.

My BST is lv 30, I think almost 31. I stopped playing BST just before the so called "nerf". Now is the playing style diffrent now, than it was back then? It is getting to the point that I have little time to play during the week cause of long work hours. I was just wondering if I could still solo, without having to look for pt.

I thought I would pick BST back up, so when I get on I can just go to a spot and lv, w/out LFP with only 2 hours to play.

To be fair you didn't experience leave pre nerf so your not gonna notice anything. I still find XP flows nicely at those levels, so yeh, don't be put off by the supposed nerf.

I really never got to experience too much of the "pre-nerf" leave so I never noticed a problem, and the patch also has some nice benefits that people often overlook... like pets not aggroing you or other parties after you Leave them (if you're outside their pop radius), you can also easily and quickly repop pets so you can make them EM, and other things that weren't really as workable as they are now. Granted, some of the more well-known camps have become less usable post-patch, but others have been discovered since then so there are still options out there, or you can explore and find new camps of your own :-)

You'll still enjoy soloing as bst regardless of the "nerf", so definitely don't use that as a deciding factor of whether or not to keep going with it. When life gives you nerfs, make a football!

Actually I llike some effects of the "nerf" but it has is down sides too. What we need to do is adapt but you should not notice your "adaptation" because you never exped with leave.

Just learn you way of using it. Some peoples fights in pet s pop area while some others dont care and wont have to care with the pet aggroing after release if you happilly rampaged for 10 dommages. So I see 2 ways : pull back to pet pop radius and it "old style" or fight outside and know that you will have a new pet fully healed in 1 min, no matter his status or HPs when you released it. You can even choose one solution aboce the other from the situation.

GC on bombs : I did it old way to save bettles for PTs and for me too.
CN in exoray room : I got it depop so I would pull with one less potential link/add.

We are BST, the ones who turn difficulties against each others to finish the remainning one with our axe. Make it fits your play style and you will have good exp.

BST is still very workable. Go ahead and give it a shot! I was lvl 67 when when the Dec 12 patch hit and am 74 now, so I have a lot of experience on both sides of the "nerf." It is still very doable.

Re: Thinking of coming back to BST.

There are good and bad on the nerf.

            Good:
            1) Even if your pet is something that aggros, you don't need to worry about getting aggro when using [leave]. Just need to use [leave] outside of the monster's area.
            2) Let's say there are DCx3 and Tx1. You used to need to kill them all to get EMx4, but you now can only depop them to make EMx4.

            Bad:
            1) Can't keep 1 pet for a long time outside of the monster's area because you can't heal pet's HP anymore. This prevents BSTx6 party in Boyahda (mushroomx6 vs Goobbue) and Terrigan (lizardx6 vs Manti).
            2) Hard to keep EM pet because once you use [leave] outside of the monster's area, it will depop and repop as different level monster.

So, some things are better now and some things are worse now. BST is still good
