Plan to be Galka, will that be a problem?

After a long time away from this game I think I'm going to give it another shot. So I decided with my schedule that a BST is the job for me.

I also want to be a galka

Now tell me, since you need a /whm will it be hard to level my sub as a galka?

Any race can play any job, just wear more MP gear and you will be just fine.^^

Also, once you get access to your RSE, you'll have MP coming out of your ears. Any race can play any job. Just choose the race and model you like the best.^^

Plus you can survive all the times you get hate, especially in the dunes. Some of the better mid to high level whm's i've seen where galka. And you'll have a nice time leveling /nin and /war vs poor little taru's like myself. When your finally done with the subs, survivability as a bst is a cake walk lol.

even though galka doesnt have very much mp, a galkan mage on my server has 1.1k+mp :x and also the chr difference is only like 3-8 from elvaan or other races :x

nope. no problem at all, i dont even use my full mp pool. with gaudy harness at lv. 50, you learn to just live off of 49mp. that's all your need basically.

plus, in what you lack in mp and chr (if thats even a factor to begin with) you'll make up in survivability with your hp and vit. as a taru i wish i had an extra 150-200hp. trust me, youll have plenty of times where an angry mob is chasing after you while your swapping pets or something.

if you like galka, go for it. theres quite a few galka bsts here and they'll tell you they do just as well as anyone else.

What you lack in mp you'll make up for in hp, so you'll have a better chance of surviving a mischarm.

I think the original poster's question is about leveling WHM. Not BST.
I'd say Galka WHM is great!
One of my friends online is Galka WHM75 and he did not say anything about having problem because he's a Galka.

I don't think a galka BST/WHM has any less mp than a taru one. As far as I know, mp from subs is not affected by race.

It is, and it would be lower if not for that wonderful Galka RSE, generally through most of their leveling careers Galka BST and BRD will have more MP than other races due to their RSE.

NO problem GO FOR IT!!! MP shouldn't be too big of a problem for playing as a Galka Beast Master, but if it is, there are still plenty of other sub jobs out there that are effective with having BST Master as a main job

It's already been said, but you should have zero problems leveling your White Mage. I was in the same situation you were in, and I got through with no problems at all. Your skill will shine brighter than your race.

Race is taken into account for subs, actually, a taru bst/whm will have more MP.

Not that it matters.

Generally I never find myself casting more than one or two cures per fight, if I get unlucky, and if you have to cast more than that to stay alive you did something wrong and are about to die anyway.

The ability to rest MP while your pet is wearing your prey down is really invaluable. After the Gaudy Harness it REALLY won't be a problem - most bst will spend most of their time at exactly 49 mp regardless of race.

i have around 160mp with /whm at 59.
my hume buddy has just over 100 at 59.
