Ive been pting alot of my second account, on my first BST account as HUME I soloed and duoed and trioed.

I do really enjoy partying as beastmaster, we do have alot to offer. From add controll to damage. When i partied in CN before any very changing patches everyone was still unsure about BST in pt`s and what they did to exp. I even macroed the fact that BST holding pets EM or beneath did not affect PT exp only BST if not released. I was pretty much welcome in any parties in CN as I was very good at handeling adds while fighting. I ran around like a crazy thing and it was a learning experience. I do good both soloing and pting. I honestly believe that BST would be an extremely valued party member by all people seeking members if they knew what we actually contribute with. But I do think that BST`s dont really give other jobs a pure chance to see that. Those people I call "enlightened" never hesitate to grab a BST if they see one seeking their level range.

But in all the PTing I would say I would pick a pure BST pt over a regular PT anyday. The damage we did to Boyahda Tree with Duo, Trio and full bst pt was insane. Ive never pulled so much exp/h since I started playing except when duoing bombs in citadel. Can you say chain #3 350 exp (that was 300+ exp each mob) almost leveling 2 a day lol when there werent loads of parties camping.

I also think that most players doing Beastmaster does it to be able to farm like superheroes. Make money etc. and have other main jobs for everything else. This also diminishes the worth. I know just a few pure BST`s that do everything with it. There are alot of n00b high level BST`s that probably have gotten alot of help getting to 75 because of friends theyve made leveling other jobs. And just use BST as a farmin tool, where the BST that do want to contribute to the game as BST get left out because they basicly only played BST.

I do have alot of friends and I do believe im highly placed amongst them as a good player. But I excell at this job because its the only job I play, where other would excell at their jobs if they purely played that 1 job. But people playing regular jobs also tends to focus on alot of other jobs as well. A JP Ninja I met once that basicly made Ninja the only job for her, ive never seen such crazy skills. She basicly soloed VT and IT chaining them like crazy.

I favour people who truley cares about 1 job and put all effort into making themselves the best at that job they can be.

There are many people who are good at different jobs, I know I could probably bring any job to level 75 without being called a noob along the way. But there arent many BST that arent purely playing BST that can outmatch me if it comes down to who kick ass :p But then again this is all i do

Hey, what server are you on? I got my beast to 33 and really wanted to keep going. But, it was like I had a curse. I could not get a party if I paid for it

I leveled and de-leveled so many times I had to higher and lower sets of weapons and armor. I sat for days and days in Altep looking for just one other person to say "Want to pty". But it never happened. So I created a new guy and use the bst as an errand boy. I go back and try once in awhile and try to level. But then I die .
I really love the bst thing, but it was just to lonely for me, maybe someday again........

These days since I know alot of people on my server and ive allways played Beastmaster I usually get parties because of this. At lower levels when I was working to get a party I usually just did /sea all (my level range) and asked all Party leaders in towns if they needed a Beastmaster member.

Its a hazzle but if you get enough parties this way people will start inviting you after while because they level in your range. Just be sure you do a good job in the parties you get invited to and your rep will spread.

i think bst perfer to solo because there is too much bull involved with regular party set ups. doing bst merits in a party i was so annoyed it wasnt even funny. first the tank went afk 3 times in under 10 minutes. then just before he gets back others go afk. then under an hour later people leave an your waiting for replacemnts to get to camp. then players decide to go afk. so then we rock thru 4 mobs, an people start d/cing. meanwhile c.c goes to waste, my food keeps running out. an i got nothing to show for it.

Hahahaha, shit like that can happen yes but thats one bad party then. Some are pretty nice if everyone stays on of course. Id choose a BST party over a regular party anyday though.

jugburn parties got me alot of my exp from 70-73. nothing like knocking out 30k exp in a night. an thats with party members going afk, an d/cin. under normal party standards. your forced to have to sit there an wait.

How do jugburn pts set up? 5bst/war and one whm? or a bst/thf bst/sam doing spiral hell and making a sc of that repeatedly.

Want to lv so bad hate it when my account is cancelled

it depends on what you like, we have had 6 bst/whm before. we have had 4bst/whm, a brd/whm, an a smn/whm. we have had drks,drgs, an nin in jugburn pts as well. it really all depends on what is out there, our who is in your ls.

If you have a whm in the pt BST/NIN would be best, it is usually best to have more BST`s. Say min 4 for a good jugburn.

BRD and WHM are good crew members, without a whm BST/WHM is the best way to go. Its easier to keep yourself ok than having to rely on the other BST`s to be healed.

I prefer soloing because parties just ted to be a pain to form up and get replacements. And playing a melee job like BST you end up being the leader or waiting for 5 hours. I just like getting to exp camp and exping for a while and then going to help LS with something or do BCNMs. Then go back to soloing again if I feel like it. Soloing offers so much freedom.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make BST the only job for me. As you said Raid about the JP NIN, I want to learn everything I can do as BST and be the best I can. At the moment I soloing my NIN to 37 and occasionally leveling BST main or doing BCNMs.

BST parties are most fun i've ever had. I've had a couple of normie parties but I join them only if my LS mates can get me in straight away. Leveling in party is also quite boring for me and gets repeative fast. When you're soloing you never know what might happen and you got nobody but yourself to rely on.

I have a great LS with a bunch of BSTs in it too. Also other members share the same BST solo/duo craziness we have. I've done some weird stuff with all kinds of jobs and with good friends. We've been organizing a lot of events lately, usually there's a place for BST too.

I'm in no way against BST only events but I seem to enjoy more hanging around with good friends, no matter what job. I actually was gonna ask for a pearl for BeastHut but I don't know would I be on that much. I wouldn't want to choose between my LS and all-BST LS.

I just re-created my character on a new server and have decided to go pure BST. For me, its the best way to go. I really enjoyed the BST job on my other character, and after I got into a trio party, my mind was set. I knew I wanted to be a BST, and the best one I could be at that.

So, I'm now working on leveling up WHM so I can get the BST quest and start leveling again. I can't wait, though I am taking to slow so I'll have enough gil to get all the gear I'd like. I plan on dedicating everything towards BST. I'm gunna level up all possible subs (Whm, Nin, possibly Blu and Rdm) along with my Axe skill and Scythe skill. I want to be known as a great Beastmaster, not someone who leveled BST up so they could do BCNMs or farm better.

Oh, and in no way am I against the "normies". XD Dunno if I came off as I wanted nothing to do with any other jobs, as in, any other people. I totally love partying when it comes time to it (I've taken BRD to 75 and DRG to 60, as well as a few other jobs to 30 on my other account.) but some people can just really destroy your good time. BSTs just seem to view FFXI in a totally different way. Getting your Kazham pass didn't mean a new place to EXP, it meant a new adventure. A new area to explore, to make memories with friends in. Oh yeah, and death. :D But you know what I mean.

Over all, I like both sides of the spectrum. I enjoy being with my "normie friends" but I also enjoy very much being in an All-BST LS and, well, frankly, just the idea of doing things with other BSTS. Its fun. :D
