What little ninja said. Which is why you'll hear the term "farming sky" when you have friends that have to absolutely attend this with their HNMLS. It's pretty mandatory in order for you to get points in your LS (Most organized end game LS have a reward system)

        Re: Endgame Bst

On Shiva, there was a all SMN/BST LS. They took down several HNMs. Tiamat was one of the fights I saw. I'm in an all BST LS, and they fight some NMs too. I'd like to try out all BST dynamis. People have asked about BLMs for sleepga. Well, assign a BST to each mob, or depending on how many BSTs you have, have a "killing" alliance, and then 2 KITing alliances. The "killing" alliance takes on a few mobs at a time, while the other 2 KIT the rest of the mobs until the "killers" are ready to take them. Idk, would need further testing.

          Re: Endgame Bst

Aside from all-BST LS's, there are legitimate applications for BST at end-game in various fights. BST are fantastic at aggro control where there are dangerous enemies in the environment, such as at Tiamat.

BSTs can also save your alliance at Fafnir/Nidhogg when people try to MPK (or if, heaven forbid, someone in your alliance targets a Darter) - this was one way my LS used to handle MPK attempts Fafnir and Adamantoise, as a matter of fact.

Sadly, there isn't much use for BSTs in sky, and only limited applications in sea.

You are nuts if you say there is limited BST use in sky/sea. A good BST, will outparse everything but a BLM, and even then, then can catch the BLM. There were parsings og BST+CC beating pre-nerf RNG. A CC or flamingo will outdamage any melee by itself on the 4 outer gods. 3 CCs negate Kirin regen and hit for more than all melees.

You need to look past the big numbers and see DoT, which BST is king of due to the goofy way that SE built jug pets. Meaning they have a little less base attack, but STR coming out the wazoo. See all those people hitting for 0 on things? I have never seen a CC hit for less than 30, period.

Even in an exp PT, youless you are PTing with a Ridill/Joytoy WAR, in which case it is not a fair comparision unless you have Temperance Axe, you will outparse everything with the possible exception of MNKs with their crazy punchy skillz.

Well, how often to pet TP moves hit on Gods like Kirin? You can't tell me an alliance fighting Kirin wouldn't like to have a Spoil (STR Down) or a Hi-Freq Field (Evasion Down) on Kirin.

Also Amusher Allie and Voracious Audrey are uncapped. Only problem is they are hard as hell to find or are way overpriced.

                  Re: Endgame Bst

I too suffer the two-job blues with this. Id love to go to my HNM events as BST but unfortunately I have the "curse" of whm75. From what i can tell you is that..... although BST is an effective DDer, most HNMs have ridiculous defense. Sky gods are a bad example for End Game activities because sky gods (although some people will argue against me) are too weak.

Anyway, HNMs like Cop Wyverns, Cerberus, Faffy, et cetera...normal melees will be favored simply because of the one thing we as BST simply cannot compete with... Weaponskill Damage...

You can get 300 TP and land a rampage...but you wont out damage a rng, a war, or anyone else who has damage enhancing job abilities that we do not have.

You + CC = good DoT, but for HNMs DD get subbed in and out all the time...

WS + WS = SC > Magic Burst (Where the real damage is done)

So CC will be in the fight for oh...20 seconds...thats about 3 hits...

Or, you can dish out 200k for an Amigo pet, pray for 1000 needles, and then cry when your beloved Cactuar disappears in 15minutes...

A Few Examples of HNM where "BST shines" (shines = kites)

                  1. Xolotl, his spawns are a HUGE pain...bst can keep them busy.
                  2. Tiamat, again, you'll use local pets to keep the Corses than pop busy...
                  3. Despot, you can save your SKY/HNMLS several hours simply by XPing...

If you have a second 70+ job, expect use that for HNM events....
