perhaps i am being pigheaded, but I don't see how we (the BST players) can adapt or try harder around this change. though I sincerely appreciate your thoughts Balfree, i don't see your plan working (from prior/practical experience).

one of the reasons why I started this thread (aside from decrying the change) was to sollicit feedback from other BST players to see if they had any ideas on how we deal with this. those of you who have no vested interest in the job are not helping us by telling us to stfu and go party. you don't play the job, you have no experience on how we operate, you can't relate. go play BST solo through 35 levels, see how much fun you have. now imagine that throughout the rest of your career.

no SE did not kill a job, but they have made it so tedious that they might as well have.

At least stay for the new jobs in the new expansion =^^= SE has generally been drifting to a more casual look at soloing while taking nothing away from the main focus of the game. It is still (or should I say "now") possible to sign on for an hour and have fun by yourself.

my mind is pretty much made up. i might be back when the expansion comes out and they deliever on the casual content (or they re-fix Leave). i just don't have the time anymore for the grind of this game.

Oh and omni, if you're still lvl 40ish and want to try a decent exp area with lots of mobs and pets try Yuhtunga jungle around H-11. Crawlers vs gobs. Lots of pets and not too many gobs that you'd need to worry about links. I really liked that spot and it was pretty good exp. Also you can try sea serpent grotto near the entrance to norg using leeches and crabs vs ghasts.

Some of the areas we have grown accustomed to being "bst-zones" such as altepa are now totally useless. I'm not to sad about that because I hated altepa anyways. There are still options for us bst so don't lose all hope. This change is irritating I won't lie but I'm not giving up on this job. I went out and lvld in SSG last night and I still had fun and I still made decent exp.

yea i was out in h-11 of yuhtunga. i know the exact spot you are talking about. soilder crawlers vs poachers right? its decent. sometimes i get all em crawlers, the other days i get all DC or T crawlers. norg near entrance isnt really that great anymore. i was there for parts of 37-40. was great then, but after 40, it does slow down considerably. not to mention, skeleton bloodsabre is such a hazard in a zone where low hp aggro is all over.

you are right, the wide open bst stomping grounds will not work anymore. we will have to compete with normal pt's in high mob populated areas. i try to respect pt play when i bst, but now, i think wont have any qualms taking mobs next to a normal pt.

Might I make a suggestion at Midnight EST 9pm PST would all BSTs on every Server gather in Lower Jeuno at the guild stone, the heart of Jeuno and stand together and shout to fix BST. Do this every night together until it is fixed, make it impassable! I suggest we all leave our characters there in that small area blocking things as protest 24/7 when not actively playing

I am not here to bitch on the update more like just to give you guys Great info on HOW fuctard SE is.
First of all i am a 65 Bst.. i level in Cape Terrigan atm. as you know it has pet as well as gobs i fight in the same area. I gonna tell you how hard Bst have it right now for you to understand y ALL the BSTs are Complaining as it is end of the the world for them.
I spent 4hrs trying to get 4k xp That is 1k/hr and this is WHY.

When we release our pets even if the pets have been in their (designated area) the dissappear only consolation is that if it is in the area it may take 20-30sec before they dissappear, if not it takes 3 sec to go poof. The "Respawn" supposed to be "The same mob STATED by SE" however respawns only 1 min after it goes poof even thou it is at Full hp, all TP gainned by that "pet" is gone, AS WELL AS it is now a DIFFERENT CON. so WTF does it mean "IT is the SAME MOB S.H.I.T SE".

Btw did u guys know that when we lose "Agro during Pet swaps the "Battle Target" Goes Poof as well? so imagine u fighting a gob u "Work around the MPK patch" by using new pets always, While u change your pet Watchout u will realise there is a 50-50 Chance the gob you have been fighting for the last 3 mins just Went POOF!.

Don't talk about Dragging Your pets from the other side of town Even next to the fuctard mobs and release they Still go poof. MPK still possible just using other tactics like Warp Escape sleep and zone. they Don't fucking go poof if the mob is not the "RED" one.
Try Using Nin Pull and Link 6 mobs and 2hr Watch the Fooking mobs just stand there.
while the one u "Pulled goes Poof" the Rest doesn't.

I Agree with Everyone on the side that they made Bst's More Flexible to Pts but the truth is if the Community Realises, BSTs/nin and /war's ARE the Best DD in the Game tried tested proven that bst with pet and Equipment Outdmg a Mnk. When they realises this Bsts will take up a Spot as DD's if we are forced to Party What will happen to the other DD's being shafted after that You guys all will go BST's ARE OVERPOWERED! and we will get the shaft again!

SO WTF did SE become to Factard that they Don't Realise how this issue will Affect us and the comunity in the Long run It Solves "ONE SMALL ISSUE" but paves the way for many more.

I agree we are a job that is king of soloing(leveling) but We don't disturb the XP zones as we Fight in area which have very little traffic as we fight Mobs that people Don't normally XP off. But we are able to pull it off. HOWEVER now we have to Enter the XP areas of people by Joining Parties which means there will be a Larger influx of players required for xp of normal XP party mobs Would u like to see 10 parties in the same area anyday everyday fighting of 20 mobs ever 15mins?

This doesn't solve anything.

As some of you know, I quit this game back in August, but I came back in November to give it another shot.

My BST was 67 when I started back again, and I'm proud that it's at 71 now.

I witnessed what this change can do first hand tonight, and I was not happy at all. They have destroyed the beastmaster job as beastmasters know it

There was absolutely no need for this to happen. In an interview with Sage Sundhi, the MPK issue was brought up, and he even mentioned WoW's answer to MPK in that the mob roams back to it's spawn point and does not aggro or link on it's way back. S-E knew then, that this was a viable way to fix the problem, but for whatever reason, they decided to be magicians and make the mobs disappear. NOT ONLY THAT, when they reappear, they are not even the same level as the mob that disappeared. WHAT THE F***?

So let's say I'm willing to track my pet down (as inconvenient as that is) but I get to it's spawn location to find that it's tough. Riiiight...

One more thing regarding the jug pet arguments. If S-E intended BST's to party all the time, and want us to use jugpets so much, why not just take away our damn "Charm" ability. It would be akin to taking away our "manhood", but hey... that's the way the "game was intended" so all is good right?

Haha How many countless Bst gonna send them the same shit and they gonna do squat remind you look what they did to nins the first say NOOO Nin's aren supposed to tank now they introduce soooo much nin gear + eminity then they introduce so much -eminity gear.

For us they take away solo ability and give us what? PT ability! YAY! we are forced to party as they will introduce more equipment for us! Look at our Bst AF1 AF2 +1's as well They Do diddly squat now if we have to party as well! +Charm! wow Charm WHAT?!?

Y cos they make this BIG BIG Blunder and not think of the aspects of Bst Game play and now they introduce it Everyone else is happy we get the fooking sack cos they can't revert the Patch now after introducing it to the community shows how Fuctard SE Dev Team are!

I give them 3 weeks or a month and they will introduce Bst Str equipment or maybe more pet stuff to make our EP Jugs slightly better for more Dps for us so we can take over the DD place in parties and who knows take away charm and replace it with other fuctard skill like what they did to Dragoons cos they Couldn't FIX them.

Look how Drg are soo Wanted now in parties? soon bst the next best DD's like rng then what? Bst burn would be too overpowering everyone complain and what we get the shaft!
