Who here is main Beastmasters anyways?

I wanted to contribute with my shitty logic even if its a while ago this has been posted in. First of all the Altepa camping, if you arent getting good experience points there Duoing you are camping the wrong spots. If you are soloing and having problems, its mainly because Altep isnt really the best solo area unless you can do Beetle vs Beetle or Dhalmel vs Dhalmel. Pet vs Worms also work well and there is usually plenty of avalible pets around those if you just look.

As for leave, it doesnt allways have to be in tight areas to get the radius to kick in properly. And if its way to long between finding pets you shouldnt really be soloing there anyways. Just assign yourself 2 pets, pull the mob to first location. When your pet is near death run to the other release, charm and wait for the mob to come to you rinse and repeat. Its not that difficult and its pretty safe. Only thing that might suck is if the place is packed with asshole parties that steals your pet. But that could happen before patch to and we all know if that happends we are screwed lol.

As for Jug pets
Blackmages have Mana Burn parties
Beastmasters have Jug Burn parties

If you stop being an arrogant asshole and look for other Beastmasters to party with you just buy a couple of stacks of Jug Pets and some petfood. Bring em out to any location in Vana diel and start owning. Jugs are the greatest thing ever after the patch.

You can try to reason with this post but its not really possible, you either adapt something that is highly possible and sometimes even better. Or you just suck at the job and shouldnt be playing it.

so, now that you've had a little time to play, how has this "nerf" affected bst? is it still a solo job? has it really hurt you as much as everyone says?

i know i've still seen some beastmasters soloing things. it seems to me that all this really did was change where you camp. any thoughts?

one thing that I overlooked the first time around was using leave-despawn to fast cycle the mobs so you can get an Even Match out of them.

I lvld my bst from 52 to 56 after the nerf (before my ps2 got stolen and I was forced into a break) and found it to be fairly easy if you have a good place to camp. 52 in Sea Serpent Grotto was ok although its a way better place in duo or even trio. 53 to 56 in the sewers of sandoria were total cake. From 56 onwards I was kind of stuck because Garlaige was damn near impossible to lvl in since the basement always has a bst or two there. The other place I wanted to go was Tora[tab] canal but I never got to finish the quests to gain access.

Bst is a 50/50 job now. there are times when the new funtion sucks donkey testies. an then there are times all you can do is sit back an relax because its very funny. fighting bombs in infrits cauldron at 71 was sweet because pet bats didnt aggro you on the way back to their pop location. they simply disappeared. no longer do you have to waste time fighting pets til they pop evan match. just pull it about 5 steps from where you found it, an waam eventually it5 will come back another lvl.

by far the absolute best way the BST f'ed over S.E was forming 6 man bst parties, calling 6 jug pets, an simply killing every known exp location you can think off. how can you as a regular tank pt handle a group of 12 bsts an pets slaughtering the mobs you exp on. i think the best time i ever had was when my bst buddies an i. owned all of bibiki bay. 1 group of us at the dhamel camp near the front of the zone, an the other bst fighting dhamel near the goblin angler camp. then if there was no dhamels we killed off the goblins.. we recieved alot of hate tells an shout that night..

so like i said its a 50/50 deal.

oh no, were you able to get your old char back? or are you starting over completely ?
