ya they crippled you so bad that u can release a pet and let it get full health awww ppl not even here mainly n my server spend more time bitching about it then putting time into knowing the areas so you can notice the diff adapt and still solo i know beasts who have not lost more than 100exp and hour still pulling big chains and camping the same areas because the decided that the update helped people getting mpked and instead of crying about it leaving the job just put in a little effort learned some of the areas of their pets (surprising you wouldnt know somewhat of the area seeing you use them alot) and still are able to solo just as well.

And on the sitting in a town seeking thats plain stupidity. Only high invites jobs actaully sit in a town waiting on an invite, if i am seeking as drg because i dont want to form a pt, i go out and ethier farm solo or craft anyone who just sits there waiting on an invite is to hopeful or stupid.

If anyone has seen the mpks and think about it SE has done a wonderful thing i have been taking a break from drg to get all other jobs to 35 i have spent alot of time in the dunes which use to have many mpks like 1-3 and hour i have seen only one but it was because of someone pulling one mob off a train as the kid died so his whole pt got wiped out.

ohh yeah an drgs are a bunch of elite stand up players. lets just ignore the fact that 3/4 the drg population quit drg after the TP nerf. the fact that since drg came out players complained the were worthless in pt set ups. worthless near endgame cause at that time bone parties did not favor the drg. how they were the last to get pick. that parties rather have a bard DD'n instead of drgs. get off your high horse. i mean seriously drgs have been bitching for the past 3 years.

Sev, please read that, and then think about how the MPK thing has affected leave. Also, try leveling past 35 on BST. The MPK thing makes the mob respawn as a different con-ing mob. I might leave an EM mob, but it might repop DC or T, which is bad for chains. DC mobs usually have a hard time fighting a T mob, which is what I personally kill for XP, I'll charm and EM pet, and melee with my pet vs. a T mob. And I'll do this. Before the patch, I could have gotten up to chain 4 very quickly, and easily. Now, I'm running around looking for a good pet, and losing XP per hour. The people you were talking about that only "lost 100XP an hour" were either in duos, fighting bombs, or your defense is unfounded. I'm in a static duo now, and the XP is as good, if not better than a party. But we still spend a lot of downtime looking for pets.

Also, IMO, if I want to grief a party, all I have to do now (which I don't, but I'm making a point), is to train a ton of mobs, and leave my pet, and then charm the mob that still has hate on me in the end. This makes all the party's mobs disappear, and seriously cuts down their XP. They might have fixed XP, but they haven't thought out the whole patch IMO.

come on omni, how can you not take such wonderful advice from a lvl " 15 BST " !! sad i dont know what im talking about on such matters, im only 55 lvls higher, been around vana'deils block way more times. =/

Awsome Icon Omni, I was going to use that one. In fact, it may symbolize your anger with the update, hence, a BST with a Great Sword-like object attacking a helpless mob.

Or it could just be Leo haplessly assaulting a retarded chocobo, I havent read the issue in a while.

Moving on, it depends on player skill. I was in a pt in Ullegard Range(sp?) and it was as mediocre as mediocre gets. . . had a NIN tank, but for melee had 2 BST/NIN and a couple of other jobs. I think there was a BRD. I'm not sure, I'm putting the incident behind me.

What I do know is that BST/NIN is not a DD for exp, the Rampage Damage was quite laughable. I'm sure I, as a Taru WAR 25 could do more damage on the same mob with Raging Axe. Ok, maybe not, but it was pitiful damage.

I just don't see BSTs working in pts, even if they form their own. But then again, I don't see a lot of BST on my server in the first place. And then again, I haven't seen any good BST. But after at least 70 levels of EXP solo, maybe they're not suited to pt play =[

No offense but /NIN doesn't give you anything for DDing. Berserk gives you far more. You're missing out on a LOT of Attack. Just thought I'd point that out. I'm also very inclined to think it's just Leo assaulting a poor, inbred, retarded chocobo ;P

EDIT: Just so you know, I do think the update was poorly implemented as well, even though I'm not a BST. It couldn't possibly be that hard make the mob stay there idle for a while.

armando, you need to understand, if in a large open zone such as altepa, or in a zone where pet mobs are scarce, its a big deal when you lose your 1 pet. it could mean death or it could mean 3-4 minutes of downtime trying to find another pet. take all that, and apply that after every battle you have. 3-4min x30 battles is 90-120min of down time during a xp session, plus figure in the times you are running for dear life cuz your pet has disappeared and you dont have anything near by to fight off a T mob at 45% health. however, you will not fully understand nor do i expect you to until you put some time into bst.

wishmaster, maybe it is my disguised anger venting itself in my avatar ;p nice that you point out a pt at lv 70. with a bst. in another thread someone was trying to make a statement that bst in xp pt are decent, however they failed to say that that pt was against deco weapons. deco weapons are for 73-75 pts usually, they have no abilties other than specials. no special buffs and are pretty easy to take down. most deco weapons con vt for a lv. 74 player, its obviously that most melee jobs will do pretty nice dmg against them. what i like about your comment is that at 70, you can still fight things that are challanging. i think people dont see that end game xp/merits really isnt a objective look at how a job performs b/c every melee does good dmg in those pts.

I think you misunderstood me I meant to say it wouldn't have been that hard for S-E to make a pet stay present, but idle, for a while after being released, before disappearing/moving. I'm well aware that the patch causes major problems for BSTs.

1- i wasnt getting mpked 1-3 times an hour it was happing to other pts for what ever reasons
2- Its not me coming at you guys about soloing because unlike most of the beasts on my server, you know your job. There are so many bst on ifrit when the update came out hadnt exped and were saying they couldnt i got sick of it and saw a similar post from before the update
3- Most of you know your job /kneel thank you for actually taking some intrest in your job and please on of you come to ifrit to teach the whiny idiots what a real bst is

i dont blame them for whining to be honest. our possible exp zones have been cut in half and then some. i went to cn tonight, was pretty much crap. not enough crawlers to attack in the top room. drop below and you dont have bees to use as pets. im in phonemia aquaducts (sp?) using a gloop to plow through mobs for ok xp.

omni i never even noticed how bad this update would be on players in areas such as ALT DESERT. i can remember duoing there along time back an looking for a mob over 4 grids long. with this update it has to be alot worse.

yeah my nin used to exp on deco weapons. we had our own name for those types of parties. we called them "TPBURN parties" because the rate on witch you gained tp was insane.

Basically the whole MPK issue came when summoner Robe came out. People started killing other people to get claim. If people didn't do that in Romaeve we wouldn't have the bsts suffer. Just blame the idiots mpking people.

naaa my servers worst spot of all time was amemet camp an phantom worm camp in kuftal tunnel. before the patch you could sit there for hours on end watch gil sellers mpk one another. then you had a few other spots like serket camp, an cassie camp. but those intaled bringing undead to aggro to the low hp.

truth is youd think with the flood of complaints that S.E would monitor certain areas during the day. i know the other night i got introuble for zoning gobs every 10 mins, steal " flee to zone. actually had a g.m watch me for 20 mins before i zoned out into jail.

the FACT is this S.E has never put any fear into the players. if S.E just banned 500 mpkers. id bet it scare the crap out of anyone who played this game. nobody would mpk train to zone for fear of being booted.

yea, 4 grids is pretty large if you have an angry dhamel chasing after you with 45% health left. finding an ep or dc pet will only buy you time to run even more to find another dc pet. i think ill revisit altepa at 42ish?

deco weapon pts, or any pt 74+ is just well, spam fest. everyone claims to be the best dd or dot in these pts but how can 6-7 melee all be the best dd/dot at the same time? its just that dmg is so easy to crank out at that lvl, everyone's ego grows exponentially.
