Bst scan?

Do bst have the ability to scan and if so what level do they obtain it. I saw one site that said bst has the scan ability but i cant find another site to verify

Sounds like you mean Wide Scan, and yes BST gets it at Lv. 1

The Wide Scan ability allows them to see on the map what monsters are around them. The distance a BST wide scan can do is more limited then what a RNG is capable of.

To use the wide scan you once selected the job do the following:

Type "/map"
Select second option labeled "Wide Scan"

After this some red dots should come up on your map with a list in the upper left hand corner. If you select one of the monsters from the list it will go to a second menu with the options "Track" and "Remote Scan"

Track-Marks the monsters direction on your compass once tracked you will not lose lock on it unless you zone, or the monsters dies even if the monster moves beyond your wide scan range.

Remote Scan-Allows you to further limit the monster list by selecting a section out of what you can see in wide scan. Does nothing if you select an area outside of the wide scan range.
