lower lvl bst xp, how much?

im a lvl 22 bst. i love how this job is come and go as you please, since now i dont have that much time to play. i also love how bst are self sufficient. i play nin also and i love the fact that i can do a lot of things on my own, solo nms, quests, etc. however, im struggling thru lvl 22. i know i just need to bear down and get thru it but i was curious... how much xp did you guys get going thru these lvls per mob? im not always able to get my pet to die before killing the mob and keeping the xp steady is a bit rough. would it be more efficient to chip away at even-dc mobs for 40ish each and do it quicker? or take on T mobs for 80-100 each but a bit more dangerous?

just been frustrated lately. it seems like im selling my bst gear every week out of anger and buying new gear the next day ;p its a love hate thing ^^

Where are you leveling? I found 22 to go by very fast in Dunes, although I think with more isolation and mobs available in Buburimu, it's probably better there.

If in Dunes, charm DC or EM sheep or Flies, and go after the 3rd tier gobs (Leecher, Gambler, Mugger), or other EM+flies or sheep.

In Buburimu, charm DC or EM Crawlers, Dhamels, Birds, and kill other EM or toughs, or Gobs (same as Dunes). I got up to 200xp on a gob kill in this level range, with some scare, and adrenaline involved of course ^^ because they are 20-25, some will be tough++

When these areas slow down @ 24 is when it becomes a pain to level. Right now you are at the nice meaty level range where lots of DC-EM mobs to charm, and a fairly large amount of EM-Toughs to kill.

i have been trying out middle of carpenters landing and jugner. there are lots of EM mobs there but the fact that theres so many mobs all over, if anything uncharms or if i fail charm im kaputs!

haha. 21-22 is a NIGHTMARE died 22 times in bubu for 22. If that doesnt do it for ya, your stuck at the beach with T or DC crabs and bogys. But keep one thing in mind, BONES!!!!!!!!

No, once this lvl is over 23 is very nice with ending crabs, and moving on to the awesome crawlers.

finally made it thru those lvls, almost to 25 now.
valkurm is a nice area, only died 3 times all thru 22-24. having space to roam around and plentiful mobs help a whole lot.

been playing around in rolanberry of late, i can find 1 out of 3 bees to be EM or DC. i just look for a goblin pathfinder and stalk him all throughout rolanberry.

im hoping at 25, quifm will be nice. i like picking on immobile monsters or beastmen pets.

23-26 spore hollow in jungar forest. this place is very nice exp area. alot of fungas roaming in this area. so many, i was killing them from one end to the back end. an by the time i got there. alot of them had respawned back. plus its an inclosed area. so there wasnt much roaming around to be done. another good thing was items they dropped. differnt shrooms, an dark crystals.

Hello ,

Lvling bst need alot of patience and hard work. especially, till you hit Lv35, then things go easier. You won't get any more ability over 35, you only get leave ability at lv35 and it is your key to hit Lv75.

you can get 80-120 exp per kill and even more if you chain. this is afew tips may help :

* Charm EM, Fight Ts and melee all the way with your pet. You'll end with 108+ even with your pet. [ Risk : you don't know when your pet will be uncharmed ]
* Charm DC, Fight Ts and wait till your pet die, charm another pet and melee with your second pet. [ Risk : if you misscharm your second pet ] this is the best method to exp on my opinion.
* Don't heal yourself while fighiting. if you need so, then go far away from hate range and heal yourself.
* if you got TP100+ and your pet almost dead, then you can use : Heel command and let the mob kill your pet so you can finish him with your TP and get full exp. [ Risk : if you failed to finish the mob ]

Over Lv35, by the time, you'll find your own way to lvl up. You can get up to 4k/hr with high risk or 2k-/h with very low risk .. you choose what you want ;p

if you keep dying on a zone, then go to another zone, if you still dying there lol, then log off and come back later ;p
I do remember at lv26, I logged on @ 500 tnl 27, after a while, I logged out @ lv26 with 2500 tnl *lol*


I got 280exp on chain#2 @ lv34 , it was the highest exp I got solo as bst ^^
I got 375exp on chain#2 @ Lv72 , it was the highest exp I got ever and was solo too.


one more thing to say: bst not for everyone .. and this is a true. What I mean is not everyone ganna like bst life ;p

Lvl 22 Hmm... go to JugnerForest (along the road)

Pets : Jugner Funguar (21-25), Forest Leeches (19-22)
Fight : Jugner Funguar (21-25), Forest Tigers (22-25), Goblins (Muggers, Gamblers, Leechers)(21-25)

Leech Vs Funguar. usually 6 leeches with 3 funguar in each ravine just run around the zone many things to fight.u can fight trees as well but prepare for 4-6 pets vs 1 tree. goblins orcs many things to kill along the road. fastest exp in those levels

PS: Once u reach 35.... 100-350xp per kill is very normal and on certain lvl ranges u can average chain 3-4 at 250-350 xp per kill. bombs are my favourite

Make sure you are using those exp rings. For those of you complaining about how slow it is, just imagine how it was before SE fixed things so that DC/EP mobs give more exp than before. Case in point, with the exp ring, I was getting 70sh exp per EP mob at level 10 MNK. Prior to this, the highest you can get on an EP mob was 33 + 16 or about 49 exp per EP mob (with ring bonus) A difference of 20sh exp per kill is a lot for a low level. After 30 kills, that is the difference between having an exp cushion and not having one after you level

I know that, but the changes made with exp from EP/DC monsters were made before the rings came out too. Not sure if it was about the time the OP started leveling his BST or not. Oh well, hopefully this will still be useful to someone.

yea, i first posted this before any of the changes were made. so no ep/dc xp boost and no xp rings. i was a bit frustrated for a while. i remember it was taking 2 mobs to kill 1 tough, or drag along killing ep/dc for 16-50 xp.

i just dinged 40 this morning and after 35 its truly is a whole different ballgame.
