Guys im a lvl 18 whm and I plan to lvl it until 30 for bst.Tell me the good stuff and bad stuff about this job?It seems like the no1 job for exploring Vanadiel. ^^

There was an all BST LS on Titan, not sure if it's still exists. They can beat any BCNM with beast type boss very easy including the Feiyin BC which drops approx 5 million worth of loot every run (and there's 6 of em so they can do it 6 times ina row... woo). Tamed all beast minion, turn them on each otehr one by one... almost no risk if you do it right.

Not to mention they can solo a lot of harder NM that other wise need a full group of other jobs.

They were among the richest LS on Titan back then. Doing BC almost daily because they can get tons of seals soloing.

Party invites are pretty non existant I hear, which is why I'm not sure if I want to take it too far. I like being able to solo, I just don't want to be forced to solo. Grouiping is half the fun in this game.

Bst get a nice little tool called Wide Scan, just like rng, so hunting NM is easy when iyorun thf/bst

Bst AF actually looks good on a taru, unlike most of the AF armors

I would group pretty often as BST back in the day, but only with LS friends who need extra people in the party. With an Even Match pet you'll be the top DD. It's just a pain to find an EM pet in most zones though, and explaining to the PT what you're doing... Oh yeah, go BST/War or BST/Thf - BST/Whm in EXP sucks.

Always fun though when a pet lizzie does Baleful Gaze, and the EXP mob is petrified for the duration of the fight . Pet debuffs are hella strong.

Oh yeah, EXP group invites are non existant, but BST are VERY useful for missions, quests, etc...

You dont get regular PT invites, but honestly, at certain levels, a BST duo or Trio can make more exp/hour than a party anyway. All you need is one other BST to have a "party" since you have 2 pets as well.

In Boyhada tree a party needs to be around 65'ish to fight Elder Gobbues. An all BST party with 5 or 6 members can take them on at about 62-64. The exp is insane, as you can imagine.

Honestly, its not that much, but its quicker than if you were to solo as any other job. Factoring in deaths (and they will occur frequently in this level range) you can probably expect 1000-1200/hour. If you are lucky and get a good run with no deaths, you can get over 2000/hour, but that wont be steady.

Still, with only 3000-4000xp needed for most of those levels, you still level fairly fast. At level 61+ when you need 30,000 xp+ to level, xp/hour is much more important.

i honestly think it depends on your lvl an where you exp. as some lvls flew by, while it seemed others dragged on. somethign i noticed with bst is. if your fighting in a large camp area the exp is slow. take valkum. alot of mobs there. but they are spread out, so if your fighting a mob in one spot you may have to do some running before you can find a second mob to charm. witch leads to links or pops on you. now if you head to the secret beach as its called. its a small area with alot of mobs right in your range. an the exp is faster. even can get chains for the 200's there at lvl 22.

g-man is right on with the exp an hour. usually 1-1.2k an hour. it may not seem like a good thing compared to the groups exp. but factor in no seek time. an the fact you can come an go whenever you want is very nice. i mean there were times i had to log for something that take a half hour. with a pt youd have to disband, an waste all that seek time. an then suffer with signing back on, an seeking all over again. with a beast you just release an log, or tell it to stay move to the other side, an log out. come back charm a mob, an your right back into the exp..

My roomate absolutely loves it. You can farm and xp at the same time. Farm mobs any other job would shy away from and get griploads of seals. And like they said, find some bst in your range and party with them (preferably after 35 and release which really helps shoot up xp). He would do bcnm 40's with the rabbit and easily destroy it. Only wiped once b/c everyone of them had their charms fail multiple times. They even set the new record that I think is currently still going.
