  • which is more important?

I am planning to have 2 set of equipment, one for charm and one for melee

for charm equipment, I know CHR is the main stat that we are looking for. but what stat should I aiming for for my melee equipment, dex or agi.

keep in mind that I am a taru bst sub whm.

Most of us Taru BST get as much of the following stats as possible for our melee gear.

    Acccuracy
    Hit points
    Attack
    Leatha Crafta Masta
    Leathercraft 100+3
    Smithing 60
    Clothcraft 60

your gear is heavily dependent on your race

As taru, you would want HP's accuracy and attack

I'd probably put HP's a bit higher than accuracy cause I notice that I can miss 5 times in a row with +10 dex and +3 accuracy yet when I get blinded, I stop missing... go fig the strange programming. My low HP's hurt me way too much.

I think I got attack and str figured out. If you check an enemy and it says "High defence" you should wear +attack stuff to get the most bang for your buck in terms of damage layout.

if you are fighting something that says low defence, then equipping attack would be less useful than having higher str.

In most cases, I think attack will be better than str since things tend to have high defence all the time. But when your weapon skills go up through the roof and things are not high defence anymore, then switch to str gear.

Dex is nice, AGi is nice, but I have no clue how much all my evasion is helping me anymore. I'm thinking of switching out of my evasion and agi stuff for more defence. They were super great in the lower lv's. cause my evasion would go up by a much bigger percentage. Cap for say 80. Then put on eq to give me 80+12 evasion. That's an increase of 15%

Now, evasion is over 100 and 100+12 = increase of 12% only. Technically, by lving, I've lost 3% effectiveness in my armor compared to lower lv's So that means I can't expect the kinds of cool dodges I had eariler on.

As lvs get higher and higher, I'd need to stack on way more bonuses to keep up with how much effectiveness I can wring out of exploiting a certain path.

In the end, go experiment and see what you like better or feel is lacking when you decide on a play style.

I would get my CHR gear up first , then my 2nd gear would be attack gear (>_<) since im a die hard fan of Attack Bonus =D

another thing though, later on... +atk gear's not too important if you don't eat in the first place. I like my headgear flashing and such so i do it anyway, but I know i'm contradicting myself when I don't bother eating a mythkabob or something once every 30mins.

I'm tempted to trade in my Strike Shield for a Darksteel Buckler at level 59. Just for money sake.
