      You won't be as effective as a BST/WHM, but it will work. It's not like you have to worry about pt invites .

        a Galka BST/WAR should do really good if he/she can accomidate the lack of CHR...

        a BST/WHM is best for solo play but a Galka'a HP and etc makes for a great BST/WAR....

          but would a galka bst/war be able to solo mobs that are say VT ? I dont mind some downtime between fights but i dont wana have to rely to much on PT.

            As a BST/WHM I've killed some VT monsters without using any magic, but I did have to use 2 pets to do it.

            I never go looking for VT monsters to kill though, the times I've done it was to get rid of one so that maybe a T would spawn after I killed the VT. But the interesting thing I've seen so far is that I can get the full 200 exp from a VT even if my pet is still alive at the end, I wasn't expecting that.

              If you want to go BST/WHM, then you will HAVE to buy an Astral Ring, which won't allow for a full CHR boost. BST/WAR might be a better shot, but you need a lot of CHR boosting items.

                BST/Nin is a decent alternative to /Whm for soloing (after level 24). With Utsusemi you can take little to no damage in a fight, just make sure to bring along some antidotes in case you get poisoned (can become a real pain). Some +agi or +eva equipment is always nice so your shadows last longer.

                  my friend is galka bst/war lvl 33 now, he loves it.

                  i'm going elvaan bst/war...

                  it's doable and it's fun. i'm not a mage guy, but if you lvl whm up, then go for it but for galka bst/war would seem the easiest though charming stuff before 30 will be a challenge, it's gets more fun every lvl...

                    I would do BST/WAR, because you are a Galka... BST/WHM might be too tough because of your extremely low mind ~~;
                    BUT, you can go, like others said, BST/NIN around 24, so you will have Dual Wield and Utsusemi.

                      BST/WHM means lower downtime, which is always important. I couldn't imagine resting to regain all my hitpoints instead of casting 4 cures and then resting for a fraction of the time to get back my mana points. At the moment, my hit points are 10 times what my mana points are. Think about how long it will take to get back all those hitpoints.

                          Actually galkas have one of the higher mnds out of all the races just that they have almost no mp.

                            Once you get past 42 your MP will mostly go to regen and blink anyway (and later on to stoneskin). Astral rings couldnt hurt, but it probably wont make too much of a difference.

                            the low CHR is the biggest thing to worry about, but at the same time, at lower levels it's not to the point that it's fatal. noble ribbon/+2chr rings*2 / bird whistle should get you +10 chr at a low level, which should be more than enough for a while. As a TAR i've gotten to 57 with no signa; once you pass 50 supposedly the resist charm of monsters by the whole go up though (it seems so random that i find it hard to tell), so by then as a galk it might be nice to have a signa. As long as you build up your technique and learn to take care of links and other situations, you should be more than fine regardless of race.
