  • Going as bst, have some questions

    Hello all

I've decided to go back as bst after watching some high lvled bst fight.

I'm lvl 24 BST and wonder what equipment I should buy. I have 621k gil on me and about 130k in AH so I'll have about 750k when it sells. Here are some equipment that I got interested in:

    Monster Signa
2 Astral rings (I'm subbing whm)
    Emperor Hairpin
    Leaping boots

So I can afford 2 of those things (2 astral rings counts as one). So question is which ones should I choose? or if you know any better equipments please tell me which it is so I know.

Allso have a question about jugs. After reading some threads in the forum I saw that the +1 jugs are NMs, where can I buy those jugs? Or can they only be made by cooking?

    Thanks in advance

I would definately go with the monster signa and emperors hairpin. Those are items you will find yourself using well into level 50. As for the +1 broths, they can only be used by higher lev BST. At your level you can only use carrot broth i believe and herbal.

My concern about the monster signa that its a staff and axe is the bst main weapon so I won't be able to lvl it if I use it. Does the +CHR give longer duration of the tame or just higher success rate to charm something? If it is higher success, I should change weapon after charming something, right?

oh btw I got lucky, got leaping boots from lizzy a few min ago so I have them now.

I would definately not reccomend fighting with the signa. So , yes, you should switch to an axe if you decide to fight the mob. A lot of BSTs seem to like engaging the MOB at the same time as thier pet or after the pet dies. I however leveled all the way without ever engaging them..when one pet was ready to die i would be near another potential pet and as the other died i would charm then throw the next pet at it til the target was dead. The benefits of this are that you never have to rest making the exp flow constant.

So your suggesting a emp pin for bst? i really had not thought of it as a good thing for a bst, i dunno but that 15hp seems like alot. i will have to try it since i have retired thf and have not used my pin since.
          Waiting for 360 release.
