CHR vs Charm

ok, so.......i think i have it down, Charm+ crap prolongs the Charm on monsters and CHR just ups the success rate on a Charm success?

What is this "crap" you speak of? bc if this "crap" prolongs the durration of charm i need to get me a whole lotta this crap! :D

too bad the only Charm+ is on BST AF and BST AF2...this is why i think it prolongs the tame....yet, need Stephen or Star to confirm, pls

Hmmm does charm duration become a problem at high levels? I was hoping it would be adding to charm success rate so I could maybe ditch my Mithra RSE and maybe a little bit of other +chr gear and not feel guilty.

I'm pretty sure this +Charm gear is the same deal as +Attack gear. 2 str = 1 attack, 2 dex = 1 accuracy, 2 chr = 1 charm, etc...

Yeah like the previous poster said Keftenk, I think the +charm stuff on the AF pieces is just directly adding to it.

Guess it's the same with wearing +dex and +acc items.

+charm extends tame time from what I've found. However at base charm time seems to keep increasing when you level, so that at 75 I can keep an even match tamed for around 5 minutes with only wearing the af pants. (it seems like at lvl 50 the base charm time was around 3 minutes)

Oh wow, I stand corrected.

No wonder BSTs wear the AF all the way up to 75, when I see war/drg/whatever wearing a mixture of other eq (which BSTs can sometimes also wear) that BSTs pass up.
