The tiger you can summon and other things

Yesterday i seen one of the coolest thing.. a galka beastmaster had a tiger summoned and was destroying things throughout qufim.. not only that but was raising people left and right with the tiger right there.

this had to tbe the coolest thing ive seen yet... to have a tiger like that.. dont think anything could stop him on all of qufum island... anyway this one thing inspired me to do beastmaster in my sparetime (not gonna dedicate all my time to it cuz i like to party a little bit and stuff)

few questions:

what is the best creature you can summon like that tiger?

exactly how powerful is the beastmaster compared to other jobs in the game as seen from experienced beastmasters?
last what are things i would miss out on if i was a beastmaster? meaning could i do all the missions and stuff as a beastmaster and finish the storyline?


i always had sort of a interest in this job as it appeals to me.. im naturally a loner so that fits my style and i like the whole idea of beastlord master of the beasts.

-They are incredibly strong; not in one dmg output, but in overall dmg output and the ability to chain by themselves and chain faster then most parties.

(is the funguar more powerfull then the tiger cuz that tiger was unreal... it 1shotted a qufim pugil and destroyed a giant in like 2 hits.. looked just like the sabertooth tigers in battalia)

There is a Tigerfamiliar summon at lvl 28 and there is a tiger twice as strong that you can sumon its like lvl 51ish. Im not sure really how the Familiars level is calculated but i know the ones that you can equip with higher level requirements are wayy stronger.

Fungars are good though, does anyone know the recipe or have a good site with sumon pet recipess??

Im level 15 cook and i make Lizard familiars often, but i need stronger pets.

Hate to burst your bubble, but that BST was obviously 50+ (he had raise after all). He wasn't there for xp. At that level ANY job combination can destroy all of qufim island. A PLD/SMN and BRD/DRG at lvl 50+ can destroy qufim island. No big accomplishment.

As for summon pets, I believe there is a level range to them... as in, the minimum level is of course the required level to equip the jug. Then the summoned familiar will be the same level depending on you... and at a certain level it will stop raising with you (when you summon it), if that makes sense. I believe the exception to this is funguar familiar, which has no level limit. I could be wrong, so if a high level BST can correct me, please do so.

Yeah but they couldnt do it like he was... i mean he was dominating not just beating things... he walked like he owned the island.

i have seen other jobs like the whm in that battle armour that was added last patch.. like 70 and they destroy things but it takes effort... this guy was unreal... he was level 69 bst i think and his pet tiger had some strange name. (he had the bst af also)

his tiger was one hitting stuff and killing it...ive seen 70 redmages in qufum / 60 monks ,etc and none was dominating like him.

well him and his beast.

dunno something about the beastmaster.. the way you are a loner and walk alone... has a coolness about it.

Ah, I see your point. Yes I also agree, BST does have a certain intrigue to it Oh and by the way, the tiger had a weird name because it was +1. Basically, familiar summon jugs are crafted (culinary), and if you have high level cooking, sometimes you will end up with a +1 result. A +1 result of a summon jug turns into a NM summon jug (as in they are named, not just 'Tiger Familiar' it would be 'Bigtoothed Goremonger' or whatever).

But honestly, I would rather see a MNK obliterating things with Asura Fist or a NIN obliterating things with Blade:Ku... those WS's impress me more than a NM tiger familiar :sweat: Just my opinion hehe.

Yeah that is what it must of been a +1... because it wasnt a tiger familiar it was like a named creature.

i do agree about the coolness of every job... but i just cant think of anything cooler then a pet tiger... almost exactly like the beastmaster movies (remember he had that pet tiger that he called) thats what i thought of when i saw it.

i have yet to see alot of the high level weapon skillls and stuff so i dont have alot to compare to... i just got sturmwind and i think its the coolest.. hehe i love that weapon skill.

well i am definitely going to dabble in the beastmaster way of life...

that is what amazed me... the tiger never left.. it stayed out forever.. the guy killed like 4 things and raised like 5 people and the tiger was still with him.

i mean wouldnt that make him too powerfull to have such a creature to obey him and it not leave him???

i was thinking he would just summon it for like 30 seconds like all the dumb 2 hour time limits.. but it never left lol i was like wtf unreal.

wonder if you can zone with it or take it on ships and boats.

Yeah, I was on yesterday morning down in Qufim just for the hell of it. I saw that high lvl bst with his tiger, which is either a lvl 51 or 53 broth. My bst just hit 23 last night though, so I can start using them XD. If I learn anything about them that isn't up, I'll post it, but there's a pretty decent wealth of information already.

Summons are strong but nowadays I never buy any normal summons always HQ hahah XD very pricey but it gets the job doneXD
