  • what exactly does "tame" do?..

    basically what i'm asking is:

    does "tame" make it easier to tame T, VT, and ITs? or does it lengthen the charm duration of a T, VT, or IT that you were already capable of charming (based on your CHR)?...

    or does it do both?

      tame makes the target more friendlier, in sense easier to charm. it doesnt always work, but it can be a life saver. it also will erase ALL the hate on you if it works from the creature, but basically just makes it easier to charm stuff. i havent really seen a notice in it making the charm last longer, but it does indeed help with the charming process.

        cool. that will come in handy...

        so if you fail to charm something and i aggros to you, using tame will erase all the hate on you and the beast will return to it's normal business?...

        please reply. this may be great news!!!!..

          yup, it doesnt work all the time, there are crazy monsters in vandiel that have high resistance to charm AND tame.

              gauge? bah, if you have CHR+ and know what con the monster is, then you dont need gauge 99% of the time ~~;

                  I just use Gauge if im unsure if i can tame a certain type of monster. The other day, i wasnt sure if i could tame an elemental so , i whiped out the gauge and of course "BIGBIRd Canot tame the fire elemental!!"

                    Tame does seem useful like Keftenk said. You know when a monster de-charms and turns to you and starts attacking? This happened to me when I was playing around with a Maze Scorpion. I did Tame, then backed off about 1 second later, and it didn't aggro me. It just sat there for a few seconds. (Then I had to recharm it, because there were low lvl ppl in that cavern.)
