Vermin = Worms, Bees, Crawlers, Beetles, Flies, Scorpions, Spiders

Plantoids = Mandragoras, Saplingsa, Treants, Cactuses, Funguars, Morbols, Goobbues

Beasts = Rabbits, Sheeps, Rams, Dhalmels, Tigers, Opo-opo, Coeurls, Manticores

Lizards = Lizards, Raptors, Cockatrices

Birds = Bats, Birds

Aquans = Pugils, Crabs, Octopi

hrm don't think that list is 100% accurate but it's close, such as I think scorpions, treants, morbols, goobbues, manticores are not tameable. Perhaps someone can verify... if they are tameable I would like to know myself lol.

I could tame Maze Scorpions in the Shakrami Maze near Windurst as 30 whm / 12 bst. They conned as easy prey for my whm but took 3-5 attempts to charm.

I had ALOT of fun with those. They're very cool to tame.

As you know the Maze is risky and there are often a few dead ppl around. I'd use the scorpion to kill ghouls/goblins, which aggro everyone, whilst Raising dead ppl.

And yeah, it gets a bit scary when you fail a charm and it's hitting you. 5 charm attempts is 1 min 15s... but I used Stoneskin and Blink on myself before trying, so I'd be a bit safer. Also, when it uncharms, it immediately uses a special attack on you because it's like it's been saving it up, so Blink and Stoneskin are very good to have up when you think the charm is going to wear off.

Anyway, yeah I could charm those.

i remember seeing a screenshot of 2 bst facing each other, each w/ a pet RAM. o_o;;; i thought it was fake, but i saw that picture from official FFXI stuff (an ad, install screen, movie, something, just forgot from what).

heh, lily...i dare ya to go FARTHER in the maze -- past the Jellies...you might shit ya pants once ya notice a Labrynth Scorpion poped out of the dark to kill you ~~; those things scare me...remind me of Shelob ><

Hehe. Yeah I've seen them. There's a tunnel that has a raised rock and small opening with water in it, that you can't get past, but you can see through to another area. I think that's where the Wendigos and labyrinth scorps live. No way I'm going down there yet. Maze scorps still scare me a bit. -_-
