Question about BST and quests/story progression

Hi, I was wondering about the BST's ability to participate in quests i.e. missions with an objective such as those that unlock other jobs and/or missions that progress the actual storyline with cutscenes. Are they powerful enough soloers (or even with another BST) to accomplish this or are they relegated to just endlessly killing monsters and not really "accomplishing" anything other than leveling up. Thanks!

BST are great with helping on lower level missions and stuff like that. Pet damage is not capped in the same way as melee damage, so if your pet is a few levels above the enemy in the mission the pet does great damage. In this situation, BST are extremely useful.

Would you be able to fight, say, a dragon using one or or two BST? Would it be possible to tame it? (crosses fingers)
