I'm nearly level 20 WHM, on my way to 30 so I can grab the BST advanced job and begin my new training. It seems playing as a WHM for a month has spoiled me, though, as far as party-style playing, because I can't walk through 1 zone without getting an invite or two.
BST/WHM seems awesome for soloing, but how well does that combo do in parties? In seems like a he would be neither an awesome attacker, because of the 1H axe, nor an awesome supporter, because of the half-level white magic. Am I incorrect in believing that this would not provoke too much interest from parties, who are usually in need of one or the other?
I'm hoping that, as a BST, I would be able to use my monster as the puller and to initially take the hate, while I attack and use support spells to buff the party. Is the viable, or would I be too weak in each to be useful? Any and all thoughts are welcome.
