What to tame and what to kill?

HI!

Which monster can I tame? The ones with "even match" or "decent challenge" or only "easy prey" ?

Which monster can I hunt? "decent challenge" "even match" or "tough" ?

I'll try to help with this but be forewarned that I'm used to the japanese con system. I will use the amount of exp an enemy gives in order to denote what you should tame.

Before level 35, you should tame anything that gives 50-100 exp per kill (once the exp gap widens, do 61/72-100). After Level 35, you should try to tame 100 exp stuff only.

Never never tame anything over 100 exp. You get high resists on tame, tame lasts a very short amount of time, and then you lose 30% exp guaranteed if you kill something, regardless of how much you used that strong pet.

So I am guessing you want to tame even match and slightly below that. Never tame a decent challenge.

For killing, early on I would aim for the 100 exp and the 100-140 ones. I bet this is the even match/weak decent challenge. Be careful and know your level ranges, because even some of the decent challenge ones can be in the 160-180 range which can be very difficult.

Never fight tough or above (200+) unless you are going up against something that explodes, or you are ready to use multiple pets.

I know what you mean, but your confused on the EN check's.. in order of strength it goes:

Too Weak
Easy Prey- Raku
Decent Challenge -Forget JP Name
Even Match- Forget JP name
Tough- Tsuyo
Very Tough- Tote
Incredibly Tough - Totetote

Tame decent challenge/even match (try to go for just even match at 35+)

Look to fight weak tough monsters and even matches.
