Which job should I start as?

Having not played the game, I only have what I read to go by. But I'm sure I want to have a Beast Tamer as one of my characters when I get to play.

I'm sure I want a Mithra one, just because they look cool. I don't really care if they don't make the best Beast Tamers, the game is about fun after all. So I say people should be what ever race they want.

All I've been wondering, is what would be the best job to start as and why?

red mage or whm would probably be best to start with (whm more than rdm) so that you could lvl your whm/rdm to 30, get advanced jobs, then you don't have to worry about lvling your sub again until you're lvl 60

Ok, I was thinking maybe whm would be better anyway, and I'm sure finding a party would be easy, being an healer and all.

I have heard it mentioned briefly that white mage is the easiest job to level to 30. Along with that everyone on these forums says that it's the best subjob for a beast tamer. Unless I hear otherwise, I will be taking this profession up on release.
