This might be cool. You could have a bard that can sing and attack! Altternately, you could equip two instruments, and get bonuses to both (although I wouldn't be surprised if all the instruments are two handed...)

Could be cool though. Also you could use ninjutsu to attack and support bard healing magic... I think this would be nice.

in pt no not a good idea, brd/whm or brd/rdm is the only way to lvl in a pt
brd needs to play support mage, that is what a support job does, if you played the game you would understand how to play a support class

Instruments are equipped in the sub-weapon slot (which is the range slot where you equip bows, throwing items, and fishing rods). You can't equip instruments in the normal weapon slot, nor the second weapon slot where the shield goes, thus subbing ninja won't allow you to sub two instruments. Equipped instruments are used solely for boosting the power of songs and are not used for actual melee fighting (bashing somebody over the head with a harp would probably snap the strings =P).
