15 second recast is plenty... I've been using Pianissimo extensively.

Basically:

Pianissimo
1 second latency (14 left)
Cast spell (13 seconds left)
8 seconds casting (5 seconds left)
1 second latency (4 seconds left)

So when I finish casting my spell I have to wait all of 4 seconds to use Pianissimo again.

true, they do have a reason to be busier but it still depends on the brd. a lazy brd will always be a lazy brd.

Another great side effect of this ability is that it saves time running to a certain spot just to prevent overwriting songs.

Very useful for merit parties. Also AWESOME when you get bound. Silly mobs..

i was in a merit party last night after a long break from meriting and got to mess around with Pianissimo for the first time. It was amazing for the above reason. It made it so much easier to ballad the rdm in between pulls since i didn't have to move to a spot away from the melee and hope they didn't decide to move close to the me because the mob broke sleep early and flew to the back line. It also made it easier to know when my timing was off because the only songs on me were the melee songs, which let me see them fade from my active buff bar instead of watching chat spam (like i said i haven't played BRD in a long while so i was really rusty at meriting, but it was an invite from an LS merit party and it needed to merit anyway to get my next sword merits for BLU^^)
