Anything changed with Bard in two years?

Coming back to my 64 BRD after a couple years out of game. Has there been... ANY changes to Bards in that time? I know we were all begging for 5/10 min abilities and different song music. Got any good news for me?

Well, there hasn't been any new job abilities or song music.. maybe new songs (e.g. Paeon V or Etude becoming single target, depending on how far back you're talking about) ^^a

Nope, nothing. Exact same job as always. However, if you have been paying attention lately, job changes across the board are coming. So give it a few weeks. There has also been some new equip since then, but nothing real special.

Brd didn't change "yet" but other jobs have changed in 2yr span and thus changed brd.

Food change = dual valor minuet for power pts these days, for one thing.

The only significant change to Bard doesn't really affect any but a handful of bards across all servers: Gjallarhorn, the completed Bard relic instrument, adds +1 to Ballad MP recovery.

So when I start doing exp parties again at 64, I shouldn't be worried about doing anything different than normal right? Ballad the backline, +ATK the front line, debuff/dispel the mob, sleep the occasional add, etc.?

Pretty much, but it depends on what food your melee are using. If they use any type of sushi (acc food) you should probably go with double minuet or /possibly/ minuet+march. If they eat kabobs, coeurl subs, hedgehog pies, or other attack food, min+mad is probably best.
