Spoony?

So I got around to playing FFiv last night again. And I got to the part where Edward joins the party. And that interesting line popped up again... "You spoony Bard". The few FAQ's state that a bard should try to be spoony. Also in game I have been seeing a lot of bards puting that in there Bazaar messages...

So my question is, How does a bard become spoony and what do you do to maintain your Spoonyness? Are there benifets to being spoon like? and what if your level of Spoonage isn't up to par? are you considered gimped?

XD! This thread is kinda silly :p. I would like to see the Bard Job a little more enhanced too though. ^^ Not only the lv73 Sha'ir.. MORE! I have Bard at 20.

I swear though, I think everyone has that same reaction to the "Spoony Bard" comment in FFIV. Pure confusion, followed by outright hilarity at what a senile old codger Tellah is.

^.^ Tellah was awsome, I like how he just up and "remembered" how to cast Meteo... though the twins were cool too.

but as to the strength of my spoonyness? I have come to the conclusion that it is something that can not be measured.

I actually have bard up to 38 and am planning on taking it all the way next ^^

Son, we live in a world that has songs, and those songs have to be played by bards with Instruments. Whose gonna do it? You? The paladin? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You laugh at us, and you demand from the Bards. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That a bards job, while hard, will probably help parties. And that my existence, while spoony and incomprehensible to you, helps parties. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in parties, you want me to play those songs, you need me to play those songs. We use songs like Madrigal, Ballad, Paeon. We use these songs as the backbone of a life spent helping parties. You use them as a demand. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man whose HP and MP rises under the blanket of the very Songs that I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide them. I would rather you just said {Thank You}, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a Cornette, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.
